Green ties are the best ties.

I may have missed the question. Though green is indeed the answer nod[1].gif

It kills me that I don't have enough green ties. I have the most brown, followed by blue, followed by red, followed by green. If I could snap my fingers, it would be green, brown, red, blue.

Why?

I feel like I don't really see them in fits too often either. I feel like there are far more burgundy/navy based neats on waywrn than anything else. And some grens/knits.

That is a very, very weird question. Or at least the phrasing.

How often something is worn on WAYWRN doesn't really have bearing on what I want to wear. Admittedly, my tastes conform fairly nicely with the mean.

I just like green more. It works with what I like at least as well as brown. What I like being a blue jacket, blue shirt or blue striped shirt, gray pants and brown shoes. I rarely wear blue as I don't often wear suits (and I don't have many odd jackets that work well with blue ties). Wearing a tie in the red family today, but generally, I think red also works better in a navy/blue suit context than it does with odd jackets. Which is not to say it doesn't work with odd jackets. As it certainly does. Quite well. And without much struggle. Just not as well, either in general or just with what I happen to own, as green or brown.

My question is:

If people like green ties so much, how come I haven't really noticed them on WAYWRN outside of the one 'green-tie challenge' a few months ago?

People love navy jackets and grey trews and one sees those all the time, along with neats, pindots, etc.

I am eyeing another green tie as we speak!!

They are the perfect color. Almost no one wear a green suit, so with varying shades of green ties you can get great contrast with blue, navy, gray, tan and brown suits/SCs.

People wear them all the time, you just have not noticed because you are on that crack. You are pulling a Noodles here with your push back on green tie.

Such as......

Would you wear a green based tie, or a tie with a significant amount of green, to an evening wedding with a navy suit?

We had a green tie Friday Challenge ever/recently?

Just saying...

I think it was either in the fall last year or early this spring. I can't recall.

I remember it being awesome.

That was a good challenge. And I remember having a good day when I wore that fit.

I wouldn't mind another green tie challenge. I actually really like the challenges focused on a single piece of clothing. I think they prove to be the most educational.
