Compare to the black which is tipped? I'd be interested in a comparison with the hober when you get it.

@TweedyProf

I'm not sure why the fina has silk lining and the other one doesn't. May have something to do with the more delicate nature of the fina

But neither is untipped.

this is an untipped tie

Stitchie,

Is the 2nd one sharkskin Formosa???

Are they cut like Zegna Milano?

Please do a review for me for I just might pull the trigger.

FUDGE, they're all out of stock.

I wonder if I can do 50 Regular in their size...errrr 40 Regular.

They do have that size in stock.

For Zegna milanos, I wear a 38R. 40R is too big.

Arggggg

Damn that sucks dude. I told you it was gonna happen! That grey was in stock in 38R a couple hours ago.

The DB and the Tuxedo are still available
post #1447 of 37396

Yeah...that freaking sucks. I'll check back in tomorrow morning to see if anybody changed their minds.

sucks that you missed out, and i cant say whether or not you should have robokopped, but i will tell you this. stop being a retard. smile.gif

seriously, forget about the zegna milano fit for a minute. as long as you are buying RTW/OTR there will pretty much be no perfect suit. not for every voluptuous curve if your body. you NEED a good tailor. and as you are in DC, and are not super hard pressed for cash, you have the expert mr. william fields at your disposal.

the point is, that the formosa for example, is a fantastic cut for a suit, much more towards what you should be probably be looking for than what you are seeing at NM. you take a suit like that, you bring it to will, maybe he nips the waist, or lets it out, or fiddles with a shoulder, or does a few things to the pants... whatever. point is, they are all relatively minor adjustments. as opposed to many of the suits you are trying, they will never be what you want. you cant really fix a skinny lapel or super high buttoning point or low rise pants or an insanely boxy cut.

you need to step a lil bit away from what you are comfortable with. as long as you are stuck in what you are holding onto, you will unlikely move on. and thats fine. just dont expect these NM suits to be anything other than what they are.

anyhow, to answer your question, they are very much not boxy cut, im just fat.

Stitchie,
I think you are misunderstanding me when I reference the Milano cut. That isnt what I want but it was something that I liked and knowing that you know Zegnas, I thought I use the Milano as a reference in trying to figure out how the Formosa is cut.

In Jakarta, BG. I could tell you long stories about my custom/s experience here.
I am teh sorry I misunderstood, Rudals. Honestly, I have a bunch of jackets from Zegna, all different cuts. And I am not expert enough to know their nuanced.

They pretty much all needed adjustments in someway before they were right for me. And now I love them all!

Desense, have you had any experience with Jalan Swirijaya? They run about 375USD here and have some of the best fitting lasts for my foot. How much do they run in Indonesia?
