Considering how much cheaper they are, they can hardly be made to the same specifications, can they? Or is it all mark-up?

I'm not confident enough to express whether they're made to the same specifications. This is what I've read on AAAC and on SF.

I purchased a pair of braces from T M Lewin recently. I'm still waiting for them to arrive, so I don't have first hand experience with them yet. The only long run first hand experience I have with braces is with a pair from Marinella.

I purchased a pair of braces from TM Lewin, this could've been before they started buying from Albert Thurston (it was almost 4 years ago), but the leather ends ripped after a couple of wears, if indeed they were leather to begin with, I'll have to check.

I seriously doubt they are just selling the same product for less.

We have one pair that is pretty similar:

I don't take a picture of the back, because they're a pain to put back in the box, but it's the same as those ones.

Thanks, davesmith. I've read different reviews regarding the leather pieces, some positive and others that were negative. The negatives were older, though. Of course, if the leather ripped it's not a good investment, not even for £20-30.

Spoo is usually selling some braces via eBay. I picked up several a few months ago for little money.

Just checked, and yes, he is: http://www.ebay.com/sch/Suspenders-Braces-/105387/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=&_ssn=balearic1

You can get brand new, genuine AT box cloth braces for 35GBP on ebay.

Thanks for the suggestions gents. Took a quick look on ebay and there's a seemingly limitless variety of AT braces for about $60 CDN which is a great deal.

Who has experience in both La spalla and Lazio from Suit Supply???
Why such difference in price?
Lazio has slim lapels and is slimmer overall?

La spalla is a fully canvassed suit and has some handwork and nicer fabrics.

You can't seriously expect us not to give you a hard time....we just had this conversation a few months ago! If you can find a good SS fit, grab a couple. They are decent suits to have in a rotation. You know I love Formosa, but I have three SS suits that I wear very now and then. They will eventually get sold and replaced as I fund new projects, but they are good for now.
