^ Yeah. The angle of my pictures has improved noticeably (though they are still not ideal) once I started using the bookshelf and self-timer.

And no, it wasn't me who contacted you about the tie before.

Cheers for the info regarding manafacture.

@SamF, you could try baby powder first ( talcum). A small amount, let it set, then gently shake it off. If it's "grease" that might work.

Otherwise, make sure you blot gently and not rub. You might try on an unobtrusive part first to see that it doesn't pull off the dye. I doubt that this will happen given the quality source, but might as well test. Then gently blot, and then wick out the liquid. Do this a few times and see if you get results. One other possibility is that the alcohol will "spread" the stain, which might in the end also do the trick (i.e. make it almost unnoticeable). Let us know how it goes.

GROUNDHOG DAY!

The grey suit will be dealt with in time.

But the more pressing item is this suit. I love it and have sentimental values tied to it. So I want to FIX the follow:

- Sleeves should be the easiest

- The buttons. What to do with them?! I can't just move the buttons since they have holes to match them, or can I?

Just get the sleeves lengthened. It looks fine.

Not sure I'd wear it with that tie and shirt combo again though.

You can't move the buttoning point, but that's ok. Vox wears his suits like that.

Who is this VOX dude? Is he a real person? I've never seen the user ID VOX. :puzzled:

The correct height/angle of selfie will make a big difference...the recent/ongoing debate between MF and FM demonstrates that well.

I've lens corrected a little to give a better idea from your latest pic and it looks to me like it fits the shoulders well, the lapels need re-pressing, and it needs to be let out a little at the side seams. Suge suggested that perhaps the front/back balance may be off, but the bottom hem is looking pretty level and the bottom button appears to be in the correct place in relation to the button hole, so I suspect the balance is okay.

He's a Boston Brahmin with the requisite connections and wealth.

Agree on the sleeves. As for the other comment, it's a navy suit, white shirt and silver tie. About as classic as it gets, especially for a wedding.

Yes. That tie was purchased like 1 hour before the wedding at like a Korean store similar to a Target for $15.

I put that tie away for good and usually don the grey grenadine tie.

I think the problem with this suit is the shoulders, they dont jive with your hips. Not sure how fixable that is.

Oh please lets not do this again. Classic SF thread, lots of fun, plenty of solid creepiness, and angst, but I think the one time was sufficient.
