Alright, so first thing I notice about JR's wardrobe is that his jackets are very countrified. I'm not sure if that's the direction wants to continue taking or if he'll try and go a little more city with future blazers and odd jackets.
JR, closer pictures of the four or five you wear most, and the ties you generally pair them with?

I'll work on this. Honestly I just started picking up jackets I liked with no overall direction. I was getting them on ebay and sort of went crazy with them and now I'm trying to put the pieces together. I think a couple days a week "countrified" is ok with 3 days city/casual being the rest. I have a few jackets at the tailor right now that are less countrified.

@jrd617 .I'm wanting (I've a few days off for CNY) to put together a more exhaustive list of a good tie wardrobe. There are plenty of "if I only had 10 ties"....I'm thinking of "if I had 30 ties". I suspect you'll be on board for this. I also propose this thread to host it (maybe)

Would depend on what your wardrobe is like, I would suggest. A noodle-centric business wardrobe needs a different set of ties to a casual suit one. However, all else being equal, you don't need 30 to have a well-balanced tie collection, so the exercise is a bit pointless IMO. 10 is enough; beyond that number, it really doesn't matter what you get because you don't need to worry about balancing the collection any more; it's all just buying for fun rather than for need at that stage so why deploy a list?

And of the 10, 2 of those are "special event" ties, and another 2 are optional seasonal extras, so it's actually just 6. The first 4 mainly for suits or smart odd jacket outfits, the next two mainly for more casual odd jacket outfits.

Navy silk neat
Dark Green silk neat
Burgundy silk neat
Navy/burgundy (or navy/dark green) stripe
Navy knit
Black knit
Navy wool or cashmere solid (for particularly wintry outfits)
Navy/white stripe (for particularly summery outfits)
Black grenadine or repp weave (for funerals)
Black bowtie (for black tie events)

Noodles that looks delicious. Put your nicest suit on and a plain light blue shirt with spread collar, keep your PS under control and breathe in...and put this on nicely. You will glow with pride when you see yourself in the mirror. Well done.

but how do i get rid of this bubble $hit?
Have you tried an iron? Put it on the wool setting, put a slightly damp cloth over the area, and press it. Don't slide the iron back and forth, just press firmly until the cloth is dry.

HEY! SOMEONE POSTED A PICTURE OF ME!

Here's one I'd recommend, based on what I have.. another Panta, just like the green Neat Panta of mine that was posted earlier. It's really excellent.

(Worn with blue chambray linen)

(Worn with a soft White cotton)

And this one is an interesting color that'd go well with a grey suit, I think (Panta):

This may be a dumb question but when you all say "neat" ties, is it the design like those above pantas?

That's correct. Not "neat" as in nifty or bitchin' haha
