I have a few jackets in similar pattern/colours. I combine it with medium brown, very light grey or charcoal trousers.

Thanks for the reply. When you say "very light grey" do you mean to say that the trousers in that case are lighter than the SC or do you choose light grey pants that are dark enough to provide a darker bottom half than the top half? I never thought of pairing this SC with pants that are lighter than it because it's so light.

I mean lighter. On the other hand, that's usually with S/S jackets, and this looks to be more of an A/W jacket.

That's not a very easy sport coat to wear, in my opinion. I would probably do my best to try to make it work with browns and tans.

No, it's not. But I feel I have all the staples and can afford looking for more non-versatile items. Tbh, grey SC with brown trousers (given they're the right shades of course) together with brown/burgundy-ish shoes has become my favorite combination after I saw @EFV do it a couple of weeks/months ago in WAYWARN.

If I'm able to combine the SC with brown and charcoal trousers, I'm happy. That would provide at least 1 outfit per month, which is good enough. Thanks for the feedback.

I do like that SC though. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif Nice pickup!

Indeed I think its a lovely SC, and I came close to buying a similar one a while back. Is it Zegna? If so might have been the same one, it was at my local NMLC.

In any case, it defo has an EFV vibe to it. I think if I had it, I would end up wearing it sans tie and with a BD collar most of the time, in a more casual way.

The issue for me mainly is that I have a hard time seeing that with a blue shirt, and for the most part I think white shirts will be too formal for it (kiss my ass, SB), leaving you with shirts that are, or have stripes of, shades of brown, that are often hard to wear with ties. As well, considering I would also probably go with brown/tan pants, I think I would end up with a pretty earthy laid back look in that SC.

Idk, just spit balling. Point is, I think its a pretty SC, but its one I would personally have a hard time with. I guess I am just not imaginative enough.

It's a Samuelsohn, actually. Jrd617 had it up at B&S NWT.

I prefer tie over sans tie. A very light blue shirt might work. Here's where I've got my inspiration from (hope you don't mind, Erik): Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I have another grey-ish jacket that works better with that kind of outfit, but thought I'd give this a shot. Thanks for your feedback.

Yeah, thats a great one from EFV. For some reason your jacket looks like a more obvious black and brown than his, hard to say until you post up with a full length fit. Good luck with it, and looking forward to seeing it in action.

Picked this Brooks Brother tie on Ebay for $20. What are your guys thoughts? Is it too much?

Thanks for confirmation. Going to replace with a black oxford cap toe. Completely overlooked the necessity of that shoe whilst building my wardrobe!

Works for me, jungle.

Not my steez, but a fine tie that should be great when paired well.

I'd wear it. Maybe not strictly CBD, but I'd definitely wear it.

Nice pick up, jungleroller. Which BB line is it? Should be a good fit with more casual wear.

Some amazing deals available at eBay right now. Just picked up this NWT L. Barbera silk tie for $27.
