Good Natured Advice Thread (improving a business wardrobe) - Page 714

In case you haven't seen it:

To pick two, though not fully easy to get a read, but the herringbone overcoat looks nice (a good strong herringbone pattern) and I like the idea of the corduroy donegal hacking jacket. Curious what in the pics are coming to NMWA...(@gdl203).

On real people, Suitsupply suits in appropriate sizes usually look better than they do on the models in the pictures.

I resolved not to do the Santa thing. Took all the shit from my wife, my mother, her mother, and we didn't do Santa for the first couple of years. When my elder son was around three, he asked if we could have Santa. So we have Santa, at least for another year because his younger brother still believes.

In a nutshell, you gotta take your lead from the kid.

Kids don't really believe in Santa Claus. They just pretend to believe in order to not disappoint the adults. As a child you have to live up to adult expectations of childish naïvety.

Did you read what I wrote? It seems not.

What triggered my son's desire to "have Santa" was the excitement of his peers. He wanted in on that, and who was I to deny him the fantasy?

Back to school, back to school, to prove to dad that I'm not a fool....if you don't know what movie that's from, turn in your cool card. No, really...give it to me now.

Thought if share a picture of proud (and happy) daddy on first day of school. School summers are way too damn long.

Thoughts on these shoos?

Mannina in Florence

Bought these loafers from Mannina 2 months ago: sleak last, clean. They carry a hell of a lot of styles on a few square meters. €400,- seems to be the common price for most of the RTW collection (mine were €300,-, discounted). Blinded by a rabid hunt for loafers I did not take a lot of time checking the rest of the collection.

Small dredge, but even for me as an avid Gym-goer and dancer, this article was an impressive load of tosh.

Kids are great, lots of fun. My daughter is 18 months and is just discovering so much and learning heaps every day. It's great to see. I've worked 4 days a week the last 3 months to look after her one day, it's highly recommended.

Next one is sue in only 2 weeks so we'll have our work cut out for us then.
