@Monkeyface

Sounds similar to where we are. It's a great area. Loads of great bars between there, Bermondsey St and Borough. Food is better towards Bermondsey St and Borough Market though.

Even their shoes are now invading Korea?  Sheesh.

Even worse, I envy you.  I couldn't be back to the UK this month...I would actually have timed it to coincide.  If you're willing to proxy, I'll pay you! (9F G&G, 9.5 JF!)

Sorry, saw this too late. It was a feeding frenzy. There weren't too many 9.5s, lots of 7s and 8s. One beautiful black whole cut, but it was a 9.5C. Managed to snatch this pair of navy shoes for 350 though. I'll use some black polish to darken them a little, but they look very nice.

Congrats, that's lovely!  Personally I'd leave it as it is - I am not a big fan of the polish burnishing thing.

I might, they're quite dark in artificial light, so it would be office appropriate. My wooden shoe trees should be here next week, so I might just hold off with wearing them until then.

Let it go, indeed! And when we're in the car, we HAVE to play the soundtrack all the time... :brick:

I've only seen the movie once, but I've heard the soundtrack and movie dialogue every day for the past several months in the car and when the kids are watching it on the IPad while in the same room in the house.  I suspect I may never see it again.  :D

Fellow Noodlers:  I'm on the hunt for a tasteful olive or moss green tie.  Negotiations on how the New Shoes family is dressing for my wife's brother's wedding have been ongoing for weeks and it's time to broker a compromise.

I'll also take suggestions on a complementary color to wear with a charcoal suit.

My current favourite is from Panta, but check out Henry Carter's new stock - some lovely things there, including just what you're looking for I think.

Quick question, I know jackets are supposed to have 1.5 inches on the sleeve from the tip to the first button. How bad would it look if this was one inch? I found an amazing unstructured navy jacket but it has surgeons cuffs and I'd need to take a half inch to make things about perfect.

It will look fine.

I dont know what all the fuss is about. I've watched Frozen, Brave, Cars, Cars 2, Planes, Mulan, Mulan 2, Little Mermaid, The Incredibles, How to Train Your Dragon, Room on the Broom, The Gruffalo's Child, and countless other animated movies DOZENS of times each. I would take that over any more Barney, Caillou, and Sesame Street any and every day of the week. I can't wait until my son is old enough to enjoy going to the movies. I've heard great things about the Lego Movie and Wreck it Ralph.

Oh, and returning to far more serious matters. I knew nothing of the Korean/Japanese issues, so once again, this thread delivers. :teach:

One time my wife made me watch a movie called The Lucky One.

So I paid her back by making her watch this.

True. It's more them than us ,and we really don't pay attention to Taiwan. It's always China and Japan.
I am not too sure what Taiwan has against us but from what I gather, it is because both of the countries (post WWII) rose from the ashes and Taiwan compares itself to S.Korea. I hate to say it but Taiwan is envious of S.Korea's economic development...but they're not doing bad themselves so I don't understand the hate.

At least Taiwan's government isn't held in a death grip by large corporations.

LOL. The US gov't isn't any different.

I would love to run for the presidency in S.Korea...and get B&Tailor to make me suits everyday.

Ratatouille is another great animated movie worth mentioning.

My favorite scene from the movie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JPOoFkrh94
