I'm happy to be here for you, Abbie. I'm happy to share a home with you and feed and entertain you. You are a great friend. But I want to start seeing a bit more mutual respect. I know you are a cat and all, but I think you could really stand to examine your life a bit.

I got a relative with this behaviour that is screwing us, we are going to tell a judge , please help. How to handle those?

Living with the Passive-Aggressive Man lists 11 responses that may help identify passive-aggressive behavior:[1]

* Ambiguity or speaking cryptically: a means of engendering a feeling of insecurity in others
* Chronically being late and forgetting things: another way to exert control or to punish.
* Fear of competition
* Fear of dependency
* Fear of intimacy as a means to act out anger: The passive aggressive often cannot trust. Because of this, they guard themselves against becoming intimately attached to someone.
* Making chaotic situations
* Making excuses for non-performance in work teams
* Obstructionism
* Procrastination
* Sulking
* Victimization response: instead of recognizing one's own weaknesses, tendency to blame others for own failures.

is 'passive agressive' the most misused term in the english language? its a behaviour type which is charactorised by obstructionist behaviour. people seem to think it refers to not being forward with your aggression. actually, iamatt seems to get it more than the contributors to that blog

Actually is a personality dissorder as on the DSM IV and V , before was called denier personality or something similar, those that deny everything so make the counterpart agressive. Example, the old crazy mother of Tony Soprano ´s series.
