Help me find a great boot

Hi friends,

I'm a complete novice concerning quality American made boots. I've researched Wolverine 1000 miles, whites semi dress, redwing beckmans, Alden's and chippewas. My budget is at max $250. My preference is a pair of factory second wolverine 1000 mile plain toe, size 10 in brown. Can you guys help me find a quality American made boot that can be worn everyday and meets the general style that I've outlined?

Revolve clothing has a 30% discount for new customers that would get me a pair of redwing 9014s for $230 delivered. Anyone know of a better deal elsewhere?

I'd spring for a pair of white's semi-dress boots, which you can pick up for a little over your max, but it sounds like you have your mind made up.

Check out Red Wing's Round Toe 2962 and 2963.

From what I've seen, they run $474. I don't necessarily have my mind made up, I'm open to other styles of boot.

Does anyone else have any ideas? Are there any great sales right now?

Try perusing the many, many threads about boots on this very forum.

Im in the market for a pair of boots as well. The 1000 mile boots are my favorite from the pictures I have seen, but I just can't afford them. I have been looking at frye boots. These fall in your price range too. http://www.thefryecompany.com/mens-boots/most-wanted/87124/james-lace-up?color=BRN Does anyone have any inputs on these boots?

Haberdash has some decent prices on Red Wing boots right now. Beckmans at 249 and the 2962 (Beckman with Iron Ranger sole) at 219.

Thank you guys for the great links. Unfortunately, I'm closer to a 9.5 and these deals are for 10.5-11. The best price I've found for the Red Wings Beckman's are from Revolve Clothing @ $230 w/ the 30% discount for new customers. Arg, back to searching...

I too am looking on Revolve Clothing for boots. You must be comparing the 1000 miles to the Red Wings as well. Do you think the Red Wings Beckman's look a little bulkier in the toe? Just curious, are you going to try to wear these boots casually? I would like to, but I don't want people thinking I am wearing my "work boots" everywhere.
