Sometimes I think this entire thread is just a conspiracy to get me to buy more blue sport coats.

It's a well crafted social experiment to test the power of suggestion.

it may come back to hurt me a little (since i really do like this jacket but already have two similar ones) - is there any reason this one is still available http://www.styleforum.net/t/427841/...ket-by-old-town-clothing-38/0_30#post_7409605

as far as i know, @FlyingMonkey is a very reasonable person..

Thanks for highlighting this - I think I'm reasonable enough!

I would guess it's because it's a bit neither/nor for SF - it's not quite what Classic Menswear people expect in a tweed jacket (i.e. it's self-consciously old-fashioned and English workwear in inspiration), and yet Old Town have never been Streetwear and Denim cool in the way that newer labels who do similar things, like say S.E.H Kelly, are...

However, this is an very-well made jacket (and matching vest too, for just a little extra), at a price that is now very low considering its material, manufacturing quality and excellent condition.

this jacket reminds me of the ones i got from freemans sporting club last winter - excellent quality and understated style. i would be very surprised if it's still available in a week. but if it were, i'm sure i can reach a nice deal with you!

Really nice, indeed. I assume there was a pair of pants that once went with those? I doubt I'd attempt the matching vest/odd trousers look, but the jacket would certainly work well on its own. The proportions are a bit off for me unfortunately.

These were samples made for Bernard Weatherill on Savile Row. Unfortunately the rousers never made it to me and I couldn't be sure they were ever present. It's a nice jacket on its own none the less.

Would definitely grab it if it was a little bigger.

One thing that is bogging me though is the difference in measurements between this listing and a Canali Kei 40R SC I purchased recently. I haven't received it yet, so I can't confirm the measurements, but according to the seller:
Sleeves: 26"
Shoulders: 19"
Length (BOC): 30,5"
Chest: 44"
Waist: 20,25"

And now this, which is also 40R but off on every measurement by 1" in comparison with the one I purchased recently.

The one you bought seems to measure a bit large for a 50EU, the other is more in line with what I'd expect.
