PR exec Justine Sacco’s ‘racist’ tweet........

It just amazes me how what are perceived as somewhat intelligent people become absolute morons via social media. This just boggles the mind! This is going to turn out like the scene in the movie Friday....when Smokey(Chris Tucker) asks Craig(Ice Cube)...."How are you going to get fired.....on your day off!"

Diller flack’s twisted tweet: ‘Going to Africa. Hope I don’t get AIDS’

uHM, WHO COULD POSSIBLY CARE?

Sorry for the caps lock, let me restate.

Who could possibly care? Why is this your business?

Because when someone says something stupid and/or bigoted and their employer cans them, we must have a national discussion about it. I'm waiting for the petition to get her reinstated.

Wake up America! Our First Amendment rights are being destroyed before our very eyes!

Except she works for a socialist organization in the first place. Look if you work for Glenn Beck and get canned for saying hurtful things about the blacks that's one thing. But when you work for the saviour and you insult 1/2 his heritage you kinda gotta expect it.

It's funny in the PR and marketing world the Justine Sacco saga got lots of play over the weekend. Needless to say she as the director of corporate communications should just know better than being a s++t disturber on her own Twitter Account. That being said from what I read, Sacco has a really good reputation for being a decent PR practitioner with the journalists she pitches, that's gold.

I'm on the fence if Sacco will ever work in PR again, some say she's gone from the profession for good and others think the social media lynching was almost too brutal and deserves a second chance after learning a very hard lesson.

Personal participation in these things is becoming almost stupid. What benefit do they have for the individual? Her statement is stupid, but now it's gone from what would be the idiotic bar room statement to the idiotic public statement for all to read.
