Acne Mic or Max?

Which one do you guys think is "dressier"? Also does the max fit true to size? Some people said the Mic does and I'm just wondering if the Max is the same?

I love the Max - got three pairs of them. I am normally a 32" waist, but have to wear a 33" waist on the Max because of too much skiing and cycling (thighs and butt...).

My favorite models are the Max Raw and Max Cash, I would highly recommend both. Have a look at my blog - once in a while I wear them.

i highly suggest trying them on. i also have more athletic legs and and had to size up on max's and even then i just couldn't get with how that sihlouette looked on me at all

it really just depends on your build. when i have mics on, they look like max's the way i'm built. when my friend has mic's on he can def go slimmer.

this kind of dissappointed me bc i like the modern, clean, minamalistic looking stitching on the max's as opposed to the regular, everyman stitching on the mic's that have the tendency to look like gap jeans to me.

I like the Mic because the Max is too skinny looking on me. I've actually heard that in the waist itself the Max runs an inch larger than the Mic. As far as dressier, I think its whichever looks better on you. If you get one that's too baggy or too skinny, it won't work as a dressy jean. Try both, then decide.

I love my Max Raw - I can actually wear them true-to-size cuz I'm really skinny but the guys are right - if you have any substantial upper-leg muscles you'll need to size up because the denim is kinda heavy and won't stretch as easily as say, a pair of Nudie Slim Jims.

Yes, and I see this as a huge problem for guys with big legs and small waists (like me) because the waist tends to run a bit big, so sizing up can leave crotch-puckering.

I would say the Mic is dressier. My rationale is that I find that the hem to be just the right size to wear with dress shoes. Since the Max is more tapered, I don't think you could pull it off as easily, sure you could do it but it would be a more "trendy" kind of look IMO. The Max also has a lower rise IIRC.

Can anyone comment on the longevity of the blackness of the Max Cash. Does the black fade fairly quickly or does it stay true - I'm a fan of my cheap monday black jeans but they fade too quickly.

thanks

max to me, is not that skinny compared to my julian red hobokens, i have an acne max shaved in 28 and the hem is around 6.5 inches.
basically the mic is slim straight, does not taper whereas the max is slimmer than that, tapers slightly with a lower rise as well. mic should be dressier, because the max models also have exposed back pocket rivets whereas the mics do not.

I think depends on the wash. I think the acne max raw is fairly dressy. The taper is barely noticeable...imo it's just slimmer than the mic and slightly lower rise as others have said. I don't think the cash wash is that dressy, and definitely size down on the cash. My 30s in the max raw are tight, but my 30s in the cash are way too big in the waist. This is the most frustrating thing about acne denim.

I wish they brought back the Mix cut...it was never a popular cut but I managed to snag a random pair @ blackbird a while back and it combines the best of all the different acne cuts. more taper but not as tight throughout as the max, slimmer than the mic and a bit higher rise than both. Plus, its pockets were the best of the bunch.

Max is a good cut. Kinda like new standard but a bit more modern and slim. Does a good job of a real slim almost skinny jean but never tight cheapmonday looking If anyone has a pair of max cash in size 30 or 31 sell em' to me please. Thanks

You know they're available on the Acne website or at Oi Polloi, right? Or were you just looking for a pair somewhere south of retail?

I have a really really old pair of max blackness, which has held up incredibly well over the years. I still like the fit, but the rise is a little low for me.

Has anyone tried the Mic or Max in the lightweight tan twill? How did you size compared to the heavier denim ones?

Which style are you exactly referring to ? Are you talking about the "Max Rider" cotton twill pants ?
