@Unbelragazzo I think the bid increment should probably be a % based on retail price for future items, especially ones with more hefty price tags. As in, it would be a shame if a $1600 shoe got sniped for $10 more. Just my thoughts.

I might consider a rule like the following: auction cannot end if there has been a bid in the last 60 seconds. Allows bidding wars to go on indefinitely even if they get started at the last minute.
