I assume he got it from this guy, the American college student who went to Libya for summer vacation during the war:

Good point. Entirely possible, especially since I don't think Kobe jerseys are exactly au courant. But one could always work that into the chosen narrative as illustrating some point about how commerce sometimes outpaces understanding. Or something. Murica/ Lakers, baby!

Please explain in 50 words or less how this image conclusively validates your views on globalization, international relations, and Adam Silver's reign as NBA commissioner and proves everyone else's completely wrong.
so that's what happened to Jet.

I see DePaul University has barred a conservative speaker (Ben Shapiro) from speaking on their campus. The concerns given were that protesters would make for a big headache and possible safety risk. It's nice to see universities and their left wing student component fostering an open exchange of ideas.

Shapiro's absence will leave an opening for a left wing speaker or social justice warrior.

Students at DePaul now have the opportunity to hear ideas from the left wing side of the political spectrum.

When students are almost paying Ivy League level tuition for a sub-par education, give them what they want, I say.

Hampton Creek Ran Undercover Project to Buy Up Its Own Vegan Mayo
Quote:

In late 2014, fledgling entrepreneur Josh Tetrick persuaded investors to plow $90 million into his vegan food startup Hampton Creek Inc. Tetrick had impressed leading Silicon Valley venture capital firms by getting his eggless Just Mayo product into Walmart, Kroger, Safeway, and other top U.S. supermarkets within about three years of starting his company.

What Tetrick and his team neglected to mention is that the startup undertook a large-scale operation to buy back its own mayo, which made the product appear more popular than it really was. At least eight months before the funding round closed, Hampton Creek executives quietly launched a campaign to purchase mass quantities of Just Mayo from stores, according to five former workers and more than 250 receipts, expense reports, cash advances and e-mails reviewed by Bloomberg. In addition to buying up hundreds of jars of the product across the U.S., contractors were told to call store managers pretending they were customers and ask about Just Mayo. Strong demand for a product typically prompts retailers to order more and stock it in additional stores.

I would really expect better explanation/writing from Bloomberg.

Elderly Korean couple staff their daughter's beauty supply store for a day so she can spend some time with her kids before school starts. Two, 13 year old girls come in a shop lift. Police grab them but elderly couple do not press charge as the merchandise is returned. One of the girls returns with gun and shoots the elderly couple.

As the son of hard-working Korean store owners: stop using your fake concern for us as props for your racism.
