Alta Vista would not have put up with this shit!

FWIW I just Googled "black teenagers." FIrst 15 hits were happy, smiling well dressed black teenager except for two of them being mug shots. Did the same for "white teenages" and in first 15 hits there was one mug shot of a white kid and 14 of happy white teens.

It is too late to play the game now (since the video wen't viral a while ago and has now started causing search results to shift)...but lets not forget that stock photo companies tend to be politically correct.

When people did the same search for "three african american teenagers" when the video first started going viral, they also got a bunch of stock photos of smiling black kids having a generic good time.

It appears Canada will be making its national anthem gender neutral lyrically speaking. While they are busy getting on the right side of history with gender neutral language why are they not removing the reference to the Xtian god? confused.gif

I'm guessing they are changing his name to "Allah"

Based on the headlines (all I've bothered to read) about Obama and Trump today, I'm guessing The Donald isn't super familiar with online acronyms and abbreviations, in particular YHBT.

Someone should ask him about humblers.

The story of the young boy at the Disney park in FL is both sad and horrific. My thoughts go out to the family.

http://gawker.com/divers-recover-body-of-toddler-attacked-by-alligator-at-1782054153

Also sad is the first comment to this story on Gawker. Yes, there are Alligators in FL and they sometimes are found in places that humans would rather them not be. This shouldn't be surprising to anyone.

Yes, but without the stupid "why are there alligators at Disney" comment, we would never have gotten this gem:

"To defend against Captain Hook?"

*Yes, I know it was technically a croc that took Hook's hand, but it was still funny.

Yeah, I laughed hard at that comment when I saw it. Too bad so many of the others are so cringe worthy.

In another story of animal attacks:

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/06/16/world/asia/india-lion-attacks.html
Quote:
While investigating a rare cluster of deadly lion attacks, the authorities in an area of forested hills in the western Indian state of Gujarat took the unusual step of capturing and caging an entire pride of 17 lions, sending their dung to a forensic laboratory to be tested for traces of human remains.

When they came in, the results, mainly in the form of strands of human hair, pointed directly to one adult male, who was immediately handed a life sentence — in the zoo.

While no expert on the topic I had always believe that it was standard practice to put an animal down that kills and eats a human. Not sure I have ever heard of them being forced to live in a zoo. It would feel somewhat morbid for visitors of the zoo to know that a certain animal on display had committed this act.

And I'm not going to stand here and see that thing cut open and see that little Kintner boy spill out all over the dock!
