Remember all the interviews with liberals whining they're paying more for healthcare now and how they didn't figure it would be them that gets hit? That's going to be nothing if the US were to adopt a Canadian style single payer. The only one that would win would be the med-mal lawyers as we all know the ABA would never allow Canadian style medical litigation.

Man, I bet this whole healthcare problem could have been avoided if we'd just had some evidence that those high utilizers were typically irresponsible before we started giving them a new subsidized benefit!

Urban grammarian here, you never say "a hella", its just hella. As in "left me hella tip".

How do I reach these kids?

Who's ready for that Libertarian televised debate tomorrow night?  That's right, a Friday night debate on Fox Business, I'm sure it will be a ratings king.

I disagree, as a Northern Californian and expert on the hella many usages of "hella." One could easily say "Dude, he left me a hella big tip last time."

I am thinking about watching the debate. peepwall[1].gif

Seriously though I am contemplating voting for Johnson.

I liked Johnson more as a Republican, I think.  We'll see what he has to say in the debate, but I'm fully expecting to like one of the other two better.

yeah because you're using it in a hella different way than that truther waitress

"hella" can mean exactly 2 things:

hella = very, as in "hillary clinton makes me hella horny she got my vote for POTUSILF"; and,

hella = many (or much), as in "every time i hear hillary cackle gives me hella wood"

disagree?

Did anyone catch the Libertarian debate Friday?  I caught the last 15 minutes or so and it was pretty entertaining.  I never knew that Johnson stuttered so much.  McAfee was kinda weird and Petersen was trying too hard to say all the right things.  The "post game" was pretty funny with Stossel, Kennedy, and Matt Welch basically ripping all 3 candidates.  I'll probably tune in for part 2 this Friday.

I tried, it didn't work well, so I only saw like 10 minutes of it.  I looked for replays and there are none.  Frustrating.

I can't believe Gary Johnson can call himself a Libertarian and believe the state can force Jews to bake wedding cakes for neo-nazis.  McAfee is probably the best of the three.

@Artisan Fan I think you'll find this interesting: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-04-05/tepper-s-move-may-affect-new-jersey-budget-forecaster-warns

Basically, the NJ state tax revenues are so dependent on the 1% that one billionaire moves to Florida and the state budget is in trouble.

While it's always been evident that AF is a successful professional, I didn't realize he's a billionaire!

Along with the nation’s highest property taxes, it’s one of two states that levy both an estate tax on the deceased and an inheritance tax on their heirs.

I know people argue that the estate tax is already double taxation because the estate is post-tax wealth, but holy fuck: that's next level.

Also,  if a state with a $34B budget relies on one man, they rightly should be fucked.  Even if his income is $100M, at 9%, that's only $9M.
