So this is the Mayo Clinic talking about risk factors for Type 2 diabetes.
So basically being anything but white is a risk factor.

Racism is responsible for sickle cell too, right?

The majority of cases of Type 2 (NIDDM) in the developed world is lifestyle induced whereas Sickle Cell Anemia is generally seen as an evolutionary result from regions with malaria.

I understand that.  I'm just making a clumsy slippery slope argument.

That's because you're racist.

I'm going to clean up my act and get on the right side of history.  If only so my arguments aren't as clumsy.

Kind of disappointing that everyone seems to have forgotten about the whole debt/deficit thing:
Quote:
(CNSNews.com) - The debt of the federal government increased by $8,314,529,850,339.07 in President Barack Obama’s first seven years in office, according to official data published by the U.S. Treasury.

That equals $70,612.91 in net federal borrowing for each of the 117,480,000 households that the Census Bureau estimates were in the United States as of September.

Are you getting your money's worth of this? I bet you're not!

Where have all the liberals gone?  I remember at the end of his first year they were cheering how he lowered the deficit, but it seems all seven Obama deficits have been larger than all than one of Bush's.

The reason everyone has forgotten about the deficit though is because Republicans have been too worried about terrorism and immigration.  The only Republican talking about the deficit is in 7th place.  Republicans just don't care about limiting spending either: they raised spending under Bush, they rolled back the sequester, and they haven't had the political willpower to not increase spending under Obama either.

So where's all the outcry lamenting the pointless escalation by police resulting in a death?

I don't have all the details yet but sounds like he resisted a lawful order; justified shooting.

Lawful, huh? I'd have to see the tassles on the flag at the local courthouse to be sure.

They didn't raid the wildlife refuge, they stopped the vehicles of criminals.

I have no idea what happened during the stop as details are very sparse right now, but every single one of those occupants was almost certainly armed. That should be enough for you to cheer their deaths.

From the Times Comments it seems they all turned into by the book law and order types:

"It may be possible to fill a football stadium with Bundy supporters, but there are not enough stadiums in this country to hold those that support the law of the land. I resent that the Bundy types ever suggested or believed that I agreed with anything they were saying.

That said, I hope no more lives are lost, but this flouting the law week after week had/has to be stopped.
