I mean, protesters have been camped outside the police station for days now.
The incident itself seems like one of those issues where the initial description sounds terrible (cops shoot guy in handcuffs) but the courts will probably find that the officers were justified (dude was not in handcuffs, actually grabbed gun, whatever). People won't know what to do with their anger and will refuse to believe the official finding...etc.
And just last night some supposed white supremacists shot some of the protesters. Of course the headline reads "white supremacists shoot protesters" but I saw a video where some of the protesters claim that people had punched the supremacists in the face and a crowd was chasing them. If that's true, then their shooting will also be found justified (I mean, you're an asshat to bring a gun with you to go harass emotional protestors, but if people start punching you in the face and an angry mob is chasing you, I suspect that the self defense law will be on your side) so it will be a double whammy of angry protesters.
