Re: D&G: laugh if you want, I did no homework on that one, just saw "anti IVF, natural families" and a mention of a couple so I assumed they were hetero. My bad.

Re: Birthers: Gallop said 13% of Americans and 23% of Republicans were as of May 2011. So not 128.

Also I didn't know that as much as 30% of Canadians had union jobs. That's news to me.

13% of Americans believe in the Easter Bunny. They don't vote and don't matter. Just ignore them.

First, is being anti-IVF homophobic? That's your prior accusation. Do you wish to withdraw that now you've realized the two people saying that are gay? If so why would it be automatically homophobic if they were het?

This is the problem. The new "Diversity" has its own, and quite stringent, orthodoxy and to wander off the path of orthodoxy is to be cast out and reviled. I think the boycott is a great example of the poison that inhabits those on the "right side of history."

Thank you for taking my obvious hyperbole in a concrete fashion.

The estimated number of Canadians leaving the country seeking medical care is on the rise, according to a report released by the the Fraser Institute on Tuesday.

An estimated 52,000 Canadians — half of those from Ontario — left the country to receive non-emergency health care in 2014, according to a report titled Leaving Canada for Medical Care.

The new report notes an increase of more than 10,000 patients — or 26 per cent — from a year earlier are looking outside Canada for medical treatment.

snip

In most cases, Barua says, patients are paying for the care, plane ticket and more in order to get treatment.

In other words, they're undocumented and uninsured. Obama is working to help those people.

You have to commit to this video as the lady gets herself in trouble at about five minutes in. It's funny.

Can't access the video. frown.gif

That's actually a very good clip. Her assumption was awkward but the rest of the 8 minute video was thought provoking.

MSNBC is insufferable though.

rolleyes.gif Yes, you call two men homophobic and it's none of you business.

I notice you're not addressing the question though. Has your opinion changed now that you know the folks saying it were an openly gay couple before Elton was even out of the closet? They were the trail blazers in terms of gays leading open lives as couples.

Welcome to the new New York: the Italian American Museum, located in what's left of Little Italy, is evicting an 85-year-old Italian-American grandmother surviving on food stamps and Social Security who lives in a building they own. Adele Sarno has lived in her two-bedroom apartment since the 1960s and would like to be allowed to die there; the museum would like a tenant who can pay $3,500 in rent.

Right, because you should be allowed to live wherever you want without the danger of a rent increase because that never happens.

Why don't they just take her on as an oral history project? Allow her to remain at her base rent, with the condition that she records her memories of the neighborhood for use at the Museum. Everybody wins, nobody's a charity case.

Possibly better than youtube comments.

No confirmation if this is real, but it's worth a loff.

This is an outrage that they allow cookies in school. Don't we know they have an obesity problem in America? Etc etc.

Plus think of the parents who even think about saying no to the child... the shame they will feel.
