Engineered Garments Fall/Winter 07 - Page 54

I highly recommend buying from Gary, really nice guy. Perfect customer service. Can't say the same for Steven Alan, which sent me a defective brown bedford. After several e-mail and phone calls, I am still out of $20 return shipping for a mistake on their part.

For a second, Berlin was all, "shit, I could play pro sports in America. How short ARE they over there, anyway?"

i really should have considered a small

Does anyone know if EG makes their black zip-up hoodie without the thermal lining? Crossing my fingers that this is done in possibly their s/s line.

they would give W+H a run for their money if they used better zippers imo.

Do you mean that you have the brown Bedford in S? Can you put it away for me for a few days, I'm waiting to hear if it's still stocked somewhere in Japan, otherwise I'll buy it from you!!

Hey Tim, Do you know of any good tailors, seamstresses in the Bay Area? I'm going to start wearing my Norfolk soon and would like to get the body taken in a bit. I asked August but they couldn't really give me a straight answer for working on EG construction. I can ask MAC but I don't want to go to the city just to get something like this taken care of. Any insight would be appreciated.

Called Hejfina a few days ago to inquire about the availability of the XS. The lady on the phone told me that they only got a run of S, M, and L as it was an order that they had placed later with Nepenthes for whatever was still left in stock.

I feel ya though Dan. At this point, I'm figuring I'll just wait until next year even though I think I'm desperate enough to give up my first-born for an XS in grey. Shoulda jumped on a proxy when the XS Norfolks were available on the Japanese Nepenthes site. Have tried on a Small Norfolk at Nomad in Gun Club Check and the fit was OK...but would really like to try the XS for comparison. My brown XS bedford fits with a little room to spare so I figure it's safer to opt smaller if the size exists.

Heh, we need to bulk up I had considered proxy, but I can barely really afford the stateside prices, let alone proxy fees, shipping, and the Japanese retail.

I finally got to check out EG irl this weekend, and must say im somewhat dissapointed! The fabric of the bedford wool jackets felt very light, loosly woven and flimsey.. nothing that would work for winter wear imo. The binocular shirt on the other hand was great, heavy weight rough cotton. Really curious of how its made to get that texture. Is EGs quality really all its been said to be? Inputs?
