Agreed. That has to be the least functional element that I've seen from Engineered Garments. I'm surprised. This piece does seem more hunter/fisher forward with those loops attached to hold a rod or other tools.

I like the fact that if EG designs a hunting jacket it has features that are functional for a hunter, a fishing jacket for a fisherman, etc, rather than all of the above having features that are functional for tragically hip fuckers like us.

That commitment to authenticity is what makes EG cool.

Authenticity aside, I'm a hip fucker, not a hunter or fisherman, and personally find a cartridge pocket not only nonfunctional, but somewhat distasteful/pretentious for hipster wear. How many hunters and fishermen are likely to buy a $550 EG jacket?
