I won't for another week or so, but maybe one of the other guys can post a picture of themselves in their vests. It's by far the best one that I own and is worth the cost. I'll probably be getting the gun club check version if I can find it somewhere too.

Yeah it looks really nice. I was going to buy one, but by the time I decided I was going to get it my size was gone. Did you get yours from drink?

Oi polloi is great to deal with. Nice guys, and super fast shipping. You get the VAT back, so although you pay shipping, for higher priced items, you can end up on top (although the dollar is so weak right now that you are lucky to end up even.)

August is charging 417 for the grey herringbone. I paid 454 after tax. They ordered two of each size but I think that's only Small through Large. They also got in a dark blue western shirt today.

bah. They said they'd call me when they got them in but no phone calls.

With the Bay Bridge being closed this weekend, I won't be able to make it in till next week either. T_T I hope they don't run out by then.

That's weird. They're usually pretty good about that. I admit, I was definitely thinking about fellow forum members showing up at the same time to try the Norfolks. I ran over to grab a medium but I ended up with a size large. The shoulders and arm holes are more accommodating on the large. The shoulders are 17 inches apart and the chest is 40 inches across. I was told that I was the only person to come in for the Norfolks today and I left minutes before the store closed.

If you're coming from the city, you can take BART to Rockridge or drive across the Richmond bridge. However, I thought you were in Mountain View, so it shouldn't be a problem to detour over San Mateo or Dumbarton.

Wow Norfolks run small? I'd thought i'd be a dead on for a Medium. Im usually a 38 chest, and I would think the medium was a 20 inch pit to pit due to the fact you need to layer some clothing. Pics of you rocking the Norfolk be nice please.

I've been saying this for a while, but no one listens to me, it seems. Engineered Garments has been going with a slimmer fit each season. I am an Eu48, and the medium Bedford fits me very well (just a little snug, the way I like it) in the shoulders and chest.

Most retailers buy more mediums and larges than smalls and extra larges, and generally don't buy lots of a single piece of outerwear in any case, so for popular pieces, those sizes can sell out particularly fast.

TNT Blu in Toronto has their full shipment of EG which includes olive and tan corduroy bedfords, plaid norfolk, corduroy pants, tan parka, fishing vest and several workshirts. Their pricing, like all items they carry, is a little high (eg 450CAD + tax for bedford) but they did have several sizes in each item.

Stopped by August today and tried on the Herringbone Norfolk. The herringbone wool is definitely less stiff and the body slimmer than last years. The buttons were also changed from the round leather ones to gray flats, which reduces the busy-ness of the piece. Man, tempted to remove that right chest pocket and change out the buttons.

The've also got the denim western shirt. The material on that thing is awesome. Too bad I'm not into western shirts.
