I like it too. Is this a large? and what are your measurements (weight, height), if I may?

I reckon size up. If it fits short across the shoulders, then it will inevitably result in the arms also looking short.

By sizing up however, you run the risk of the jacket fitting too wide.

Lotus you can size up, but unfortunately you're just a tall dude so there might be some ill effects for doing so like baggy sleeves or huge body. Worth trying and reporting back. :slayer: As a more recent fan of that slightly cropped fit, I think it works well with EG spring looks. Wearing that with shorts will probably look better than with pants as you can roll up the sleeves a bit or wear casually like that.

I like the fit too, although; it would look better if your shirt had longer sleeves sticking out under the sleeves of the Bedford.
I think you probably could go with either size, however, imagine if you were to wash the Bedford, it might shrink/tighten up.

Its difficult for him. He's got a lean body. Sizing up will be to baggy (Fycus mentioned). But the current size, sleeves are too short and the length is ok (can get away with it). I think sizing up and getting it tailored be the best option.

Thanks for the feedback.

Going for the olive baby.

Nittygritty's prices are a killer! Anyone know where this color is available in the States or Canada?

First try at shirts....Opinion on fit of this HB workshirt size small? Do the shirts shrink much?

Normally a small true to size, but thinking of sizing down to XS. I wear medium in Bedfords.

Thx in advance!

Shoulders and pit to pit looks good, not enough to size down imo. That fit looks very much like how the SS12 workshirts in medium fits me. Good in the shoulders and armpits, a bit long in the sleeves and body/length. If you're satisfied in general but uncomfortable with the length you could just have the length shortened a bit by your tailor.

Sometimes they tighten up a little after a wash, this may depend on the fabric, but they don't shrink, unless you tumble dry, which you should be very carefull with, rather not do at all. I accidentally tumble dried a miner shirt for about 2 hours and it shrunk a full size and got t-rex arms.

EG shirts are amongst the worse fitting shirts I've had , they are too long somewhere no matter what size I get ..
My wife tailors mine as she is a machinist , but a lot of times I send them back ..
which is a shame , because they really are lovely looking shirts , especially the winter work ones ..

Top & bottom one I've had to shorten , middle one is xl , and fits fine apart from body is just a tad short ..

Phil,

It really varies through the seasons. But I do think that the workshirts sizing are horrible. I prefer to wear other Japanese labels workshirts (ex. Omnigod, Sunny, my personal fav Spellbound). They have a more consistent fit.
