hello their i popped the crockett & jones burlington arcade store and spoke to the assistant manager sergio martini.i have given him an order for a  cardigan 4  in whiskey cordovan .i need five other people to join me in the order for him to put it into production without any increase in the cost.the cardigan 4 in dark brown cordovan retails at £540.so a whiskey cordovan would be the same price.should you wish to join me in this order.here is sergio martini's email address burlintonarcade@crockettandjones.co.uk..please contact him and let him know you interest

i thought i would  get some other people interested in the cardigan in whiskey cordovan, but as nobody has expressed an interest i thought i would suggest  some of other cordovan models by crockett that i would be ready to order if i can find five other people interested in them as well .the chepstow chukka boot in whiskey cordovan and  the onslow shoe in either whiskey or dark brown cordovan.if anybody is interested in any of these models i defiantly  would place an order for any of them

A pic wouldn't hurt either as most people may not be familiar with a cardigan 4.

the cardigan 4 is the cordovan brogue that replaced the finsbury 2,you can find pictures of it on their website

If you want this to work, you'll need to put a bit more effort into this. Why not post the images directly?

Hmm. You might want to check other MTO threads. Just trying to help out. Good luck with this.

Here. I will do you a solid as I am in a good mood this morning.

To all potential MTO subscribers outside the UK, the cardigan 4 is NOT a sweater despite it's name. Here is an image of the shoe.

thanks Jerry for putting the picture up.i am really surprised nobody has expressed an interest.they needed six people for the whiskey harlech boots, and they ended up with twelve people ordering .either i am doing something wrong.of everybody is waiting to see how the harlech in whiskey turns out

You have to ask yourself how many of us here in the forum do you think have bought this shoe in the standard spec since you started the thread to get an idea of peoples demand for the shoe in the spec your suggesting. C & J pitch the designs (colours) at where they think the demand is.

I liked the Harlech in the standard colour myself but am interested to see it in whiskey before I would go ahead.

Assume the MTO on its own is quite a bit extra 50% I think someone told me a while back so good luck with the order

I think you just have to promote it a bit more.  The folks organizing the Harlech MTO posted about it on a number of different threads (like the C&J thread, the cordo thread, etc.). There was also considerable discussion about different options in addition to the leather (e.g. dainite or other types of soles, eyelets vs. speedhooks).  I for one would like the Cardigan more if it had hidden eyelets (although I am unfortunately not in the market for a new pair of cordovan brogues at the moment).
