I think you need some solid proof before you expose someone like that. Otherwise she wont believe you, youll look an idiot, and you just probably didnt lose a friend but created an enemy. So if you have some solid proof and its really unjustified ..go ahead (him telling you or you seeing him in the act with someone isnt solid enough)

If she is your friend, then you should talk to him and tell him you know and that he should quit it because your worried about her or some crap. Otherwise if you dont have any solid proof, then its just a safe bet to not do anything

Never rat out another guy, especially a friend.

Of course, it is fair to try to put him in amusing situations where he is likely to get busted through his own stupidity. I learned this from That 70s Show.

My answer would be that it depends upon the friend. For close friends or someone you work with, absolutely not, but for someone you see once in a while that you don't really give a **** about? Who cares?

Having said that, it wouldn't make it any easier to get with the girl. I'm not quite sure how you'd go from "btw your bf is cheating on you" to "so do you wanna go out?" I think you'd have to help her find out on her own rather than telling her straight-out.

If it's an altruistic thing and you're telling her because you care about her, then maybe; if you just want in her pants, you're hardly better than your friend, and she probably deserves someone better than either of you.

If you're even considering that, you probably aren't very close with this "friend" of yours. Or maybe you're just one really crap friend.

The only situation I would consider telling the girl, is if she was also one of my friends. And even then, I would probably just reprimand the guy instead.

In life, there will be many hot girls but very few friends.
Ed, In all seriousness, you have just shown true character. I salute you!

Im an asshole, and to get back at a former friend who managed to **** me over (never paid me back for damage deposit, caused tension between me and my GF at the time, always acted like a little *****/wanted to be my girlfriend by the way he would act) I informed, in a roundabout way, his girlfriend that he had fucked around on her while she was at college. She didnt listen and he still tries to get random girls to sleep with him, at the same time forces her to get student loans so he can buy/mod cars. Really classy guy.

Please re-read the first sentence of the second paragraph of the OP. The sole purpose of this thread was to generate conversation.

Yes. Cheating people are subhuman. I would never be friends with a backstabbing scumfuck that would cheat. I could never trust the person again if I knew that.
