This ban is going to be impossible to keep!

With online shopping as well as going out and being tempted by in store reductions and new collections, it's quite easy to find clothes I want everyday!

So far I've lasted 2 days...if I achieve this it'll be nothing short of a miracle!!!smile.gif

Damn. I added two more pairs bringing my total to 20. I received my Gustin Japan Blacks last week and just backed their 9oz summer weights. I've said it before, but I'm done. nod[1].gif

Congratulations on your new jeans!!

20 pairs is a great number to have - not too many to hoard, but enough to rotate.

Don't worry, I ALWAYS(!!!) say that it's the last pair - but it never is!!

Just accept like I do that you love jeans - it's not exactly as if it was 100 sports cars!!!

Enjoy your blacks and summer jeans - I'm also expecting a few pairs of :)new jeans in the post!

But ordered before I made my self imposed ban on 3rd May 2014

I wonder how much longer I can last without cracking - I should block my iPad from sites like BiG and SE etc!smile.gif

Just got together again with my ex boyfriend (9th May), who has promised me a new pair of jeans at the end of the month on payday!

So soon 11 pairs!!!smile.gif

I think I have roughly 40 pairs. I never actually counted cause I am scared too....

True Religion, Diesel, APC, Naked and Famous, Nudie, William Rast, R&R, and Abercrombie make up the lot.

I may get killed for this comment but in most cases I cannot justify why a certain jean costs 300 dollars and another costs 90. So I typically buy for the style and color. (I dont believe there is a "Quality Denim".)

The only brand I have heard rave reviews about that I really want to try and havent is 3sixteen.

Don't be scared to count - my friend with the museum has over 12,000 pairs (!), and I have an American friend with 5-600 pairs - so 40 is nothing!

I'd planned to stop at 10 until 2016, but when my ex, who knows my passion for denim, offered me a new pair to get back together again, of course I agreed!!!!!!!

Sadly not 3sixteens, as he doesn't like me in darl colours or plain jeans (he used to buy me Diesel but I've outgrown those now quality wise...)

I've found a nice pair of Paper Denim and Cloth - does anybody have any experience of their quality?

Thanks for replies because they need to last a couple of years ...my oldest jeans will be 2 years old in July 2012, but my collection is ever growing..

I'll surf around for some other choices, but he liked them too, and agreed to order them for me when he gets paid at the end of the month!!

I can't believe I'll have 11 pairs of jeans - it'll take me years to wear through all of them!smile.gif

You know, I wasn't going to post here, but I couldn't leave this unaddressed. He's literally bribing you into a relationship and you don't see a problem with it?

Also, why wear Skechers shape-ups? They have no health benefits and Skechers paid $40 million to consumers as part of a class-action lawsuit for misleading consumers.

Firstly, he's not bribing me - we've been together for 26 years and I was devastated when he dumped me - luckily we both missed each other!!

I wear Sketchers because they're comfortable, black plain nubuck, and smart enough not to look like sneakers, which I hate!
Not for health reasons - I I have medicine for that!

Hope you've got off your soapbox now!

Please don't be so harsh with me - you know I'm very, very ill..

It's a big deal for me to have 11 pairs of jeans, as my invalid lifestyle means I don't have skirts, dressed etc or even smart trousers so these 11 pairs of jeans are really special to me.

I promise I'm not trolling...smile.gif

Don't use your illness to justify your behavior.

Where's the trollish behavior? All I see is a few people who don't seem to like one poster here. If you don't like someone, block them and ignore their posts.

Thank you for your support!smile.gifsmile.gifbiggrin.gif

J Brand Deep Purple skinnies posted on other threads, 4 more pairs due in the post - makes 11 pairs..won't be shopping for a 12th pair as I'd intended to stop at 10!(11th pair surprise present from ex-boyfriend)

Will spend the next couple of years wearing out some of these, trying not to be tempted although I live in and love jeans, then probably still won't need any new ones for quite a while!!!

Wearing new J Brands today, but 2 older pairs in the wash (2 Naked and Famous)

Can't imagine I'll wear many out - my 2015 donation to my friends denim museum will probably be my old Levi's jacket, as I've got loads of jeans to rotate now:)

I think I have around 20 pair...I'm looking to get rid of some of the older ones and pick up a couple new brands now though....time for some research.

Good luck with your new jeans!!!

I thought I was stopping at 10 pairs until my ex offered me an 11th pair..but some are quite worn so I'll have a rotate a bit more...

Today I'm wearing my bargain Yoox J Brand Deep Purple skinny jeans, but I prefer my heavier weight jeans and they last much longer..

Looking forward to no,11 at the end of the month, although after 10 days my 2 year denim ban still feels like an impossible task!smile.gif

So many jeans, such little time!!
