Suits fit for summer/warm weather?

Obviously this would be the best place to come for this information

I'm looking for a semi-casual suit that would be suited for warm weather, preferably a light color. I'm not looking to wear a tie with it or anything, just something for a night out or something like that. I'm open to any advice!

TIA
JB

Wheat fresco or, for a more casual look, cream linen.

Silk wears warm and is better as a shoulder season suit.

Pinstripe linen. I am looking for the tobacco brown colour someone mentioned in another thread. Haven't found it yet.

hi, i'm new here!
what stores you do guys recommend for cotton suits?

thanks!

The fabric matters, clearly. Also, don't button more than one button, if it looks good on you that way.

Cotton suits in stores - such a broad topic that depends, for starters, on where you live. Brooks Brothers is one of the chains where you probably can find cotton suits.

I find the lighter weight wools to be best for summer--specifically went it's humid. They are often the super 140s and higher (and they are not bullet proof).
I wore a Kiton 100% cashmere suit today that is so light and comfortable that it felt great on a hot and humid day--as comfortable as any suit would be on a day like today. My heavy duty (bullet proof) Oxxford cashmere suit only works on cold winter days. Also, I have another Kiton cashmere suit that only works on cool to cold days.

I do agree...My Kiton 150 is so light......
i bought it in Venice and i love it...
It's hard to go back to my Canali after that!!!!!!!!
By the way ,Kiton and Brioni are my 2 favourites suits providers...
My wife is always whinging about me WEARING suits in the summer but they're far more comfortable than a pair of jeans..............
I hate jeans anyway since i'm 17 years-old when i did have a sartorial revelation in front of a Faconnable shop...
For the summer ,a very nice light wool is my choice...i hate the linen for obvious reasons and the silk is too shiny for my own liking.....

If I could go to my tailor to order the exact summer suit I wanted, it would be a pale grey (some structure in the fabric) 2 button SB peak lapel suit with side vents and adjustable side straps. You can wear white, pale blue, pale pink shirts with that (either cotton or cotton/linen blend) and always look fresh and vivid. Unfortunately my bank account says no to that. edit: hmm... maybe I wouldn't take peak lapels but notched; makes it more versatile - but on the other hand SB peak lapel is so stylish...
