Thoughts on Ben Sherman clothing?

The Macy's near me always has a ton of Ben Sherman stuff marked down. Some of the button-ups and polos seem very slim-fitting, and I even saw a grey v-neck sweater that I tried on that actually fit me very slim (every other v-neck sweater <$50 fits me so boxy). My only problem is the branding--the little Ben Sherman signature on the chest of the shirts. That could be removed, though, right?

Anyways, anyone have any thoughts on Ben Sherman clothes? It seems like it's casual clothing for the guy who has graduated from Gap button-downs but doesn't want to spend $180 on a Band of Outsiders shirt.

Besides the crap embellished with brazen logos, I think Ben Sherman on the cheap is a good buy. It's not made to last, but the fit is good and some pieces are on point.

Get Smart is a huge BS fan, and he's probably the one to answer this question. I know that in the past he's endorsed the UK line of Ben Sherman, but I'm not sure where you could buy it from.

i agree, some BS stuff does fit very well and I am a fan of some of their shirts. however, i'm not a fan when logos start popping up everywhere.

I love it depending on the patterns.

Personally I like the more Mod-type stuff better, oh and my local Marshalls has lots of it for less than $10.

I just saw that UK has a premium line with 100% cotton button-down shirts. Might be a better alternative. BTW, anyone want to comment on BS vs Original Penguin?

There's a mod shop in CA IIRC that sells the made in UK BS stuff online, but I can't find it. I was thinking it was called Spirit of '69 or something like that. Paging GS...
