Guys, I've been lurking the pics of Wu's ties for some times and some days give in to the cravings. Today my brown matka and the navy rosette printed foulard arrived, nicely packed with a very friendly personal card. Shipping to Switzerland was very fast and shipping price did not even cover Conrad's costs (trying to rectify this).

Great service, and the ties: So beautiful!

Highly recommended!

While we're at it:

The Wu
The Wu
The Wu is on Fire!

(I just realized that Mr. Wu is probably far too young to know that...)

Love it. When I'm old[er], I'll tell my grandchildren "Back in the day, I was at Wu Ground Zero."

Silk matka explained:

I know there is a lot of love for shantung but silk matka is unique in it's own way. At first it has a bit of a rough handle but after a few wears it softens up and feels very similar to tussah silk; slubs appear and the fabric feels much more delicate. Overall a very underrated raw silk that is both curious to the eye and touch.

This, I like. But I have no effing clue how to coordinate this. If you have this, please post a picture for this poor soul.

The fabric (in person) is darker than the photos making it pretty darn versatile!

Thanks, Conrad. I like the color. Let me see if I can wear it with the suits that I have.

There aren't a lot of suits that you can't wear a dark blue tie with. They look best with mid gray suits though, IMO. Love the texture of that matka raw silk. nod[1].gif
