Gucci Horsebit Loafers - Clunking (?) Noise?

So I finally decided to splurge on a pair of Gucci horsebit loafers (anniversary edition). The shoes look absolutely fantastic and even better than I expected. But I'm just starting to realize there may be one major issue. When I walk, the horsebit tends to make noise. I tried on a few different sizes in the store and this was consistent amongst all sizes, so I don't think it's this particular pair. At first, I didn't think it would be a dealbreaker but now I'm worried about walking with these in my office as it tends to be very quiet.

Is this normal? Has anyone else had this issue and if so, what did you do?

My Cole Haan bits jingle a little bit. It's no worse than, say, a keychain hanging from a belt loop (not that I'd ever do that).

I talk loud, and the heels hitting the ground are louder than the bits. If I were on carpet, it might be a different story.

The spur-like jingle is part of the charm. If you're afraid of disturbing those around you with the noise of walking, you likely don't have the status to be wearing Gucci loafers to the office in the first place.

It is normal to have those sounds and it seems fun (like cowboy boots in movies). Don't wear them to offices.

Thanks for the responses guys. I found this on the GQ website:

It suggests that Gucci has a way of fixing the horsebit so it stops making the noise. But when I called the store they had no idea what I was talking about. Now that I've been wearing the shoes for a while, I'm just used to the noise.
