Does anyone have a recommendation that isn't above anywhere?

Rewatching episodes of Louie with David Lynch. If there isn't a good documentary on DL I hope someone will make one soon.

Top 3 OVERRATED movies of all time. This is barely a 2 star flick. I love the old school movies....but this just sucks! Fact!

Anyone got any old kung fu movie recommendations that aren't from Shaw Bros or Golden Harvest? Shot in the dark, but I'll fire it off anyway.

You guys come across the Alien concept art that Neil Blomkap commissioned awhile back? Looks badass and I really, really hope he directs a badly needed Alien sequel to finish out Ripley's arc. Seems highly possible it could happen, especially since Sigourney Weaver stars in his newest movie Chappie. I have a complete boner for this. Prometheus was a little meh and i'm far less excited about aPrometheus 2. An Alien 5 movie with Ripley would kick ass

Just watched this. Brilliant documentary re Edward Snowden told pretty much told as it happened. Very much worth a look. I caught it on HBO.

Hard to be a God by Aleksei German

Winter Sleep by Nuri Bilge Ceylan

Watched "Hard to be a God by Aleksei German and "Force Majeure" by Ruben Östlund.

Hard to be a God - Interesting interpretation of pre-psychological culture, surreal, probably not enough gore. Don't think the Middle Ages were as backward as German imagined.

Force Majeure - Manages to recreate the perspective of the intelligent observer as in Haneke's films. Still shots, lots of details in each. I really didn't think the subject was that interesting, kind of a subpar Haneke imitation.
