Dear all,

I have purchased a RLPL brown drake suit in 38R, and wanted to know what you think I need to do when I take it to the tailors. I will be getting the trousers hemmed to the right leg length and the buttons/sleeves also cut to give an inch of cuff showing. Other than that, do you think the jacket length needs altering as the bottom goes a bit further than my thumb knuckle? The jacket is a drop-6 (but it might fit better in a drop7).

This one:

Replies would have been likely if the pictures had been posted in an ongoing thread.

The jacket might be a bit too long, but it doesn't need to be shortened. The pants aren't hanging correctly, and the shoulders are very wrong and probably need the pitch adjusted. The slight collar roll in the upper back likely is related to that and should also be fixed.

Thanks for this, I did try to look for an ongoing thread but I am still a bit new to the site and wasn't sure where exactly it would be.

Thanks for the advice and comments, I have the trousers secured with braces and might have had them a little too high if that is why they are not hanging correctly. The shoulders do not feel right, and I didn't realise about the pitch, and had to look it up but you are right.
