I guess I'm a freak based on my measurements

I'm trying to buy a sweater online. Here's are my measurements.

Chest 34

Waist at belly button 34

Sleeve 32

Here's the size chart.

http://www.clubmonaco.com/product/images?productId=21207886

Chest: Smaller than XS.

Waist: L

Sleeve: XS.

Which should I order?

I'm not weird looking.. I don't think. I'm 5'10, 140 lbs.. but I do have a small chest and narrow shoulders.

Buy a different sweater, that isn't going to fit you.
And remeasure a few times.

I seem to have this problem with all sizing charts.

What do other disproportionate men do?

bump for suggestions on what disproportionate men should do.

If I bought a medium, could a tailor bring the shoulders closer together? Is that sort of thing expensive?

Look for a sweater with raglan sleeves (i.e. no shoulder seams).

Go to a department store and try on a lot of sweaters. You are not likely
to find a perfect fit online.

Have grandma or someone else knit you a sweater.

Tailors don't as a rule work with knits.

For other shirts, like collared shirts and whatnot.. should i go get those customized? is shortening the shoulder length something that's done in real life? is it exepensive?
