Won't work very well with leather, right?

The seam holes will not close on leather so you will be left with the outline of punched holes.  I think that will look bad, like something was torn off your bag (which it was).

If this were a cloth bag it might work okay.

What about removing the Gustin patch, and replacing it with one with your monogram (or a blank)?  I'm sure Guarded Goods could do this easily.

Edit: The blank should have been what Gustin did in the first place, with an up-charge for monograming.

I get why it bothers you but it really doesn't bother me much.  When I see that they are doing that it tells me there is a 0% chance it isn't going to close.

On the one hand it's a bit annoying, but on the other it's nice that I can be sure an item is going to fund if it's at 70% or higher. Also it's nice that by increasing the quantities for popular items, more people are able to get what they want and have time to sign up. But they could still do both of these with more transparency.

Why the hell does anyone even care about the funding, and why do we talk about it every month or two? Damn near everything funds. Little ridiculous to keep discussing it.

Another idea I had for the briefcase logo, is to send it off to someone like guarded goods, have him cut off the patch, and put on something new perhaps with my initials? Haven't asked him but it should easily be done by someone who works with leather. Doesn't even have to be the same leather IMO.

Edit: damn great minds think alike

I dunno - my guess is that the much-more manual cancellation process is to blame for the regression in funding levels (and maybe even "there are more Small and Mediums, so we have more fabric" at work than any active manipulation going on.  I'd think there is also a "close enough" calculation that happens too.

I don't understand a need for any more transparency than there is, either, but whatever.

It wouldn't surprise me at all to see several cancellations on a more expensive product and the % go backwards.

I just snagged a pair of Okayamas from their moving (stock) sale for $100 shipped. Aww yeah!

Jealous.  I'm waiting for their next batch.

Yeah, more interested in the product than the funding.

Moving sale so, they must be doing well?

Hey all! Long time Gustin customer. Received my first leather jacket from them in size S. Just wondering if it fits well. It's my first leather jacket and I am excited! Will definitely try to get the sleeves shorted. Common theme with most of my shirts/jackets.

Paired with the Blue 17 there.

I like where the sleeves hit on you in the photo.

I wouldn't change a thing.

The gang at Gustin are moving across the bay to Berkeley... So I'm thinking more space for the amount of rent they pay for in San Francisco. And hopefully a walk in store/showroom. I imagine another plus is that they're moving to a college town. The downside is that I have to cross a bridge if they do open a store/showroom... The struggle is real.

Fit from the front and side looks good! Length on the arms looks good too! Any back shots?

Just for comparison, what weight/height are you?
