Gustin - Official Affiliate Thread - Page 610

First wear on my wheat selvedge today. Really happy with the color and texture. I feel like they made up a little looser than my other Gustin chinos, but that could be due to the lighter fabric. Need to get hemmed (definitely longer than my others) and may ask about getting them slimmed down a bit below the knee. Also considering getting them cuffed and creased, is that crazy?

Got mine last Friday. It was a very bizarre journey in my opinion. I kind of wish I could have just picked them up in downtown San Francisco myself. The package literally passed by my house twice!!!🙄 Have a look for yourself:

As for just a quick review:
These are my very first shirts ordered from Gustin, and they're V-necks as opposed to regular Crewneck T-shirts to boot. So collar wise I really have nothing to compare them with in my wardrobe. I'd like to think I have a good eye when it comes to seeing if something is asymmetrical or not. It appears that 2 out of the 3 collars may be off slightly. May just be the way the fabric falls/drapes though? I know for sure, that all 3 Gustin tags on the back of the collars are not centered. Minor detail.

As for fabric quality, I like it! Not to heavy, not to light in my opinion. Soft with a little bit, dare I say, of slub. All 3 colors are fantastic, and the stitching on the shoulders adds a nice touch.

I ordered Mediums. I usually buy Banana Republics in Large. Fit seemed right, but I haven't actually worn them out in the real world yet. I seemed to be tan deficient in my chest area.😳 The result of tearing down a large play structure in the backyard on a nice sunny day. A few shirtless hours in the yard should solve this.

Anyway hope this was helpful

Cheers,
NbN

Okayama Standards should be on my doorsteps this Friday. Tomorrow would be nice, but maybe they need to visit Burlingame first? 🙄

^ You'll like the Okayama Standards.

Haven't gotten a chance to wear my pair much, but the selvedge and fabric are awesome.

Sweet! I took a giant leap of faith and ordered those and the Oxblood 2's in 30 slims, without any previous experience. Hopefully the fit is spot on!

Got my Desert Duck Chinos today - much more 'light grey' and less 'light tan/sand' than I anticipated. Not sure If i want to keep

I am waiting on those after backing. Can you post a picture?

Desert duck on left, Army green duck on right

Direct (overcast) light - so it's a bit darker

I have a pair of desert duck canvas chinos from Epaulet and my experience has been that it's a shade that ought to go with everything but in practice is tough to wear, at least in my wardrobe.

Dear Gustin, I'm very disappointed with you today. You advertised that the shirt grab bag is currently on a free-shipping special. I logged in to order one just to find out you raised the price $5 over what it has been every day for the last year.

Very disappointed in you.

That has always been the case for those that had access to the Stock section

I own these both as well, and I'd say that's a pretty accurate representation of the color.  I agree that the desert duck has a hint of grey in it and not a true 'khaki' color
