I have those and like them a lot though the strechiness of the weave is a little strange to get used to.
Are those straights?
No, skinny. these were my first purchase from G and since buying them i have moved to slim fit because these are too skinny around my calfs.
Skinny is certainly cut closer to the thigh but its pretty much perfect, just how I would want pants to be. I guess Skinny fit would be my preferred fit if it weren't for the calf issue. I wonder if maybe I got a bad pair as its weird fro everything to fit well waist to before calf then after calf to leg opening. The calf opening is actually wider than the calf measurement.
I have relatively wide feet and have had trouble with footwear a ton in the past. I usually have to size up or eliminate brands from consideration to make it work, especially with sneakers. For what it’s worth, Gustin shoes are very comfortable for me and I have no fit concerns. I take a 10E on the Barrie Last and 10 in the gustin low tops. I tried them out fully expecting to have to return them and was pleasantly surprised with the fit/comfort level. If you are assuming they wont work without having tried them, it may be worth it to give it a shot. I was shocked that my flipper feet found a new home.
I would guess you'd be a size 9 in Gustin sneakers. They seem to run a 1/2 to 1 size big in my (1 pair) experience. I wear size 8D Alden Barrie, 8E UK in EG, and size 8 Gustin felt a tad roomy for me (not too bad, but looser feeling than i'd like).
Agreed. Though, i'm not sure if I'd be in the market for one since i have an old Filson travel bag that serves me well. Epaulet's new bag line is intriguing though for a more formal bag.
