Anyone else get their new belt recently?  Mine arrived yesterday, black with the square brass buckle.  My first thought out of the box is, Oh yeah this is a really nice wide and thick belt.  But then I find out, it's TOO wide to fit the loops in my Dickie's work pants...  I wear pretty much Dickies, or Duckhead work pants, or Bill's Khakis all the time.  And the belt fits the Duckheads, but is a super tight squeeze on the Dickies and Bills.  Just barely can be pushed through, but then is really hard to adjust, and the overhang won't fit a second time through the first loop.

So, my feedback is:  a great belt; but next time, maybe just an 1/8th of an inch less wide?

@michaeljohnr I also wore the heck out of my Japan Classic. Thought they were rigid. Until I got my Okayama Standard. now the classics feel soft and light in comparison.

Just want to share my recent experience with Gustin. I wear a 29 in Naked and Famous Weirdguy fit and sometimes for 30 if the fabric is heavier (ie. Elephant 2s and 3s). Ordered the 29 Slim in Black 2 and I couldn't button a single button! I have the Gustin Slim in 30 and the waist is a bit big and the leg is a bit wider than i'm used to, so I thought a 29 Slim would work, but no luck.

Had no problems with the return and it was processed the day after the package arrived back at their office. Emails were also answered promptly. Some of the best customer service in the biz today, right up there with Epaulet.

True.  I have been wearing my Fourteeners all week and the Classics feel like sweatpants now.

The Okayamas are even heavier, no?

I don't know how people can break in super heavy denim.  That's work!

They're 14+ but it's also the weave and starch. Some folks are saying the heavy American or maybe it's the super heavy are soft as can be right away. Big discussion on it on the Gustin community.

Super heavy is soft but the heavy Americans aren't. The heavy Americans are stiff

I picked up a pair of "Naturals" last month, Straight cut. The waist is perfect, but the thighs are really tight. My question is, am I hosed, or will they stretch?

Generally speaking, thighs don't stretch much. You'll inevitably end up with a little more room in the thighs as the waist stretches out and they start to ride lower on your hips. As the denim softens up and relaxes, they'll start to feel a little looser overall because they're not as stiff.

I've heard that you can roll up damp towels, stuff them in the thighs, and leave them overnight to stretch them out. No idea whether it actually does anything.

Thanks.

Anybody interested in a pair of 33" waist Straights, Natural denim? Never worn or washed.

My Black Friday Sale Japan Standards arrived today, though tight (won't be after break in) I can get them on without too much hassle.

Nice!

No such luck for me though. Apparently I effed up the fit guide or something cause I can't even get the bottom button...

So.. what's the exchange process like? And how much sizing up should I do?

I had to send a pair of Cone Pima Fires, they were labeled 36" but the waist measured 34" so there was no way I could get them on. I took photo of the mislabelled pair of jeans with a measuring tape measuring the waist of said jeans emailed it to Gustin and got the go ahead from their customer service to return for exchange. If you have a legit sizing issue they will look after you. Bear in mind you might not get what you originally want. In my case if it's the same dollar value roughly, I'm cool with that.
