I can only speak for the sneakers but I have the color 8 low tops and really like them.  I'm glad I have them in my sneaker arsenal and I wear them all the time.  They are holding up fine with a few creases that are to be expected with leather sneakers.  They are comfortable for all day wear for me and they fit my semi wide foot with ease.  You can get an all white sneaker at a number of places w/o the wait time or store credit only return policy but if you like the Gustins they have been great for me.

hen does Gustin typically start offering more summer options? I have some store credit but I'm really holding out for some lightweight summer wear .

They have *some* lighter weight stuff in stock. I just purchased a not-heavyweight henley today. Excited to try the fit. I like the t-shirts and long-sleeve shirts (except for the really tight forearms)

What makes silk blend denim special?  The #285 indigo silk classic funding right now looks cool I really know nothing about silk blend denim though and why it would be a good purchase for me.  Any major differences from standard denim?

Silk tends to be stronger than cotton, and has a slight sheen. It does wear hotter though. (though I dont what % it is, so what effect it has might be small)

Or mid summer, which means you'll receive them in time for fall.

I'd be really interested in seeing some more fit pics ITT.  I think what is probably even more interesting, for me, is seeing it after a few months of wear/washes, etc.  I've only purchased a sweatshirt from them (which I promised to comment on)... so I really have no other frame of reference with their items.  I reached out to them about a year ago for their return policy.  They were really nice and understood what I was trying to do (I'm a serial returner when it comes to online purchases).

Anyway - more pics!!

Quick Q - for those of you that have the low top sneakers - how would you say they compare to Common Project Achilles?  What impressed me the most about their low tops was their clean look and minimal profile.  The quality of the leather is important to me which is why I very much love my CPs.  Just interested in seeing how they compare... or if anyone could speak to it.

Thanks!

I was wondering same thing.  My office is pretty casual - jeans 3 days a week typically.  Trying to decide between these silk blends and a pair of Japan bluexblacks when they come back around for office/business casual wear.  Anyone else have experience with either care to chime in?

Hi Guys!

My white low tops started to peel after 1 month of wear. I have some pictures in my thread where I posted for help!

If any of you know how to restore these shoes please help!

Worn the socks twice now and put them through the wash/dryer in between (They held up fine).  I generally rock Nordstroms Dress socks and not much else.  I don't own any other upscale socks like Chup or anything so take this review with that in mind.  They're comfortable and fairly thick with a good weight to them.  Not snowboard/soccer sock thick, but sturdy and more substantial than anything else I have.  Breathe fine/standard, don't notice anything different from other socks.  Nice texture and grainy feel, definitely not smooth like a standard dress sock.  They go up about 2" less than half way up my calf when pulled all the way up (I'm 6'1").  Over the course of the day, they stay right around there with just a tad of shifting downward.  They stay high enough for any purpose but are low enough to where you could wear them with sneakers and jeans and not feel like you had tights on.  Haven't tried them with boots but they're high enough to make that work with ease.  I like them and think 10 bucks a pair is worth it.  They are socks, that's all I got folks.

I would reach out to Gustin directly. They seem to be pretty responsive and you will give them the opportunity to makes things right first. It does seem odd the shoes appear to have corrected grain leather, perhaps it has something to do with that heat treatment to give it that finish? Still very odd.

BTW, I just wanted to give Gustin support a quick shout out. Had a small issue with some sneakers, despite having had them for a few months, and they are giving me a refund. Top notch, quick, friendly support.

I won't hesitate to back another item.
