I know how you feel, I can't wear their jeans - chinos fit (have to go a size up), but the jeans I can't fit due to the thigh/seat.

What size are the Stan Smiths in your comparison pic?

I ordered a pair of jeans that are being made, but now I have little hope of actually being able to wear them after trying on the chinos. I was originally brought to Gustin because I read somewhere that lifters found their jeans wearable...hmm...

I have a pair of Tellason's that seem to fit well, their straight tapered fit works, although still fairly snug in the thigh. Another jean that I have been wanting to try is the Iron Hearts, although pricey, I'll probably try a pair at some point. From their fit guides, it seems the fit is similar to the Tellason.

Rogue territory is probably the best fit in jeans for me

Hey bud. Same size as you, sounds like similar build too. The chest and thighs are the most important parameters for me..

For jeans I wear a 33 in both the straight and in the slim. Keep in mind some of their denim runs extra small ( like the slub brown..) but for the most part the 33" works for me mainly because it can accommodate my thigh. I need a 12" inch thigh on jeans ( I realized the hard way) . Can't comment on the chinos yet, but I have one coming in the next few weeks

Agree - the MED is too tight on me, and the LARGE is a bit too long and blousey in the stomach, but again this depends on the fabric. I just received the cobalt blue flannel in classic large and it looks good. Im going to run it through a really really hot wash/dry cycle to get max shrinkage.

The slim shirts aren't going to work for you because of the chest. Best to go with the classic large and tailor the shirt..

I suppose I'm a little bit of an outlier: I lift weights and squat, but I'm not that big of a guy. 5'10", 180#, 43" chest, 32" waist 23.5" thigh. I ordered a 32" waist in regular fit chinos which are skin tight on me, so I now have a 34" waist on order. We'll see how it fits. I'm expecting the waist to be a bit too big and the legs may still be too tight. I like their pants but I feel like it's going to be a lost cause, unless I resign to buying large and commit to extensive tailoring to get leg openings that actually fit.

I got a shirt grab bag and tried out the large slim fit shirt...too narrow in the chest although tolerable... So I'm trying out the large regular fit, although I don't have one of these yet.

FYI: if anyone is interested in a never worn pair of Gustin #17 HEAVY SLATE CHINO in size 32 straight, let me know!

Hello Salad

The Stan Smith shown are size 12US. For your reference, my running shoe size is 12 US or 12.5 US (depends on the last). In this case I followed Gustin's suggestion, using same size as Converse Chucks.

Thank you, that really helps. I wear a 10 in SS so that reaffirms that I should be backing the sz. 9 Gustin.

Has there been any update on the issues people were having with sneakers? The bumpy soles, specifically.

Did Gustin do anything to remedy those?

I never heard anyone else post a complaint about the bumpy footbed under the insert except me.  But since I saw it on 2 of 2 pairs I'm pretty sure it was widely prevalent.  Maybe people are just accepting it and counting on the insert to smooth over the bumps?  I think that's a bad strategy because the foam of the insert will eventually compress and the bumps will be back.

Gusting provided their typical great customer service, including sending a return label for the shoes.

I'm sure they will work it out.  But I'm hoping some people with shoes from more recent builds will pull out the insert and fully inspect the footbed, take photos, and post.  I'd like to order a few of the Gustin sneakers but won't do so until they are proven to be long past this issue.

So true.  I've almost ordered this bag every time it posts because I love the leather so much.  But I've held myself back because its simply too much of a man purse.  I can't be carrying a ladies bad around, even in awesome leather.

Gustin, please make some manly man bags out of awesome leather.  :)

Did anyone else get some of the first batch of Gustin indigo T-shirts (the lightweight ones, I think 5 oz)?  I LOVE the color.  It was a magical subtle streaky multi-tone indigo.  Not sure exactly how to describe it but its beautiful, especially in sunlight.  And other people notice these amazing shirts often when I wear them.

So I tried ordering a few more Gustin indigo T-shirts, including the heavy.  None of the others had the awesome color of the first batch and they are more typical consistent solid indigo shade.

Can anyone confirm this or provide an explanation?  Now I'm wearing my favorite ones from the first batch with extreme caution because they might be irreplaceable.
