My Japan 21 jeans arrived yesterday. There were a bunch of posts about these jeans back when they were offered and then when they shipped. So now I have the Japan 21, the Heavyweight 23, and the 26 Beasts. The H23 has the tightest weave, and after wearing them for 56 days and one warm soak, they are nicely broken in, but still feel somewhat stiff. The 26 have about 50 days wear and a warm soak. They have the loosest weave, but also the thickest yarn. They almost feel like thick, heavy sweatpants. A different feel than the H23 for sure.

The J21 have a looser weave than the H23 as well as appear to have a thicker yarn, though nowhere near as thick as the 26. I think the H21 will be a very soft jean once broken in and honestly, may be a real sweet spot for heavy denim from Gustin.

I really like my Japan 21s as well. They are heavy denim, but don't feel as stiff as you would imagine 21 oz denim should.

For those on the fence - can't get enough of the japan greyxblack. Just backed in both the straight and slim fits (I know, I know..) The stretch factor is a nice addition. My current ones are my favorite Gustins even if I screwed them up a bit by sticking them in the dryer..

Would like to see the heavyweight indigo T shirt available again. I'm pleased w/ the crew neck I ordered for the Fall. I would like to see them offered soon so they are ready for Spring.

Another heavyweight T-shirt in any color... but indigo would be great, I can get the crewneck to match my V.

It costs nearly a much as two duffels, and it's a tote bag. I don't have anything nice to say about tote bags in general, let alone one at that price. If you carry everything in a tote bag already, I guess you could do worse, and I'll reserve commentary.

Agreed linen/cotton would be epic. And It would be especially wonderful in time for summer here in the Northeast.

Not twice as a much as two Horween duffle bags. I think, in general, you would be hard pressed to find an all leather tote bag for under $200.

Interesting that they haven't done any, considering they've done several 'slub' t shirts and henleys. Linen has a natural slub/weave irregularity that would fit right in
