How's the arch and foot support?

How does this Black Friday Mystery denim work? Assuming it gets funded, when does Gustin let you know exactly what you've bought?

Not quite sure.  Never had much issue with that.  They feel pretty comfortable the the insole is fairly cushy - but it is pretty flat.

Didnt the campaign specifically state the mystery selvedge denim would be a Cone Mill denim between 12 & 16oz?

Yeah, it did.  I meant more specifics --- exact weight, how dark is the indigo warp, etc.  To me, there is a significant difference between 12oz and 16oz, etc.

Theres a reason it's called a mystery grab bag. You won't know what you're getting until your package arrives. When that happens just check the numbered tag on the inside to see what you got

@joshgustin

Does anyone have a contact phone number for Gustin? Nead to put a contact number on the package for an international return. Posties here ask for one. wink.gif
Please PM, if possible.

I think they look good!  Hoping my color 8 cxl low tops ship out this week.  I can do a side-by-side-by-side photo with CP and Epaulet's low tops to look at the shape/quality.  Anyone else receive their shoes?

@joshgustin I'm looking forward to the grey marled Henley - someone please fund that so it's 100%!  I was excited to see there was a wine version, but it looks a bit more purple than red/merlot.  Is the photo pretty accurate on the site?  Also, any photo of it on-body?  I'd like to see how it looks still

I was about to back the heathered grey hoodie when I noticed its a cotton poly blend.  Darn.  The black and blue are 100% cotton so I almost didn't catch the fabric difference on the grey.

Costco presently has a 100% cotton heathered grey hoodie from Ralph Lauren (with polo mark on breast) for $50 but its made in Vietnam.

I'd rather have a Gustin made in the USA hoodie but I'm not willing to accept a cotton poly blend.  It still mystifies me that Gustin will only sell synthetic blend heathered fabrics despite many other companies having 100% cotton heathered fabrics.  I also would have bought the currently posted marled wine henley if it were 100% cotton, but no, its also a synthetic blend.  When I asked Gustin about why always blends on the heathered items they said the 100% cotton heathered fabrics are more expensive and would not work at their price point.  This is strange considering I've not paid much for heathered cotton items from Banana Republic, Costco, and others.

Guess I've got to either go with the black Gustin or the grey Ralph Lauren.  The blue isn't sufficiently color neutral to be flexible and I find that black cotton items like this tend to look dirty due to lint, dust, or other debris making them less practical for a casual item that tends to be tossed onto chairs and such.

EDIT:  I looked up AmericanGiant and their heathered grey is 100% cotton 12.4 oz.  Gustin, please stop with the poly blends on heathered fabrics.  /sigh

I'm intrigued by the wine marled henley but having a hard time pulling the trigger.  The color seems slightly odd.  It does look like it could end up as a really nice henley but it's too difficult for me to picture in its current form without a complete shirt pic.  I may have to pass this time and see how it turns out, hoping for a quick return.

I respect that some here only want 100% cotton. Personally, I couldn't care less on a hoodie - especially a 70/30 blend. They have been putting polyester in clothing for half a century now and I fear that sometimes people associate it with the mass produced garbage that you can find at walmart or target. There are plenty of solid blend offerings from respectable companies out there and adding some poly to the mix does have benefits - most notably to durability. There is a very high end denim company with the initial IH that makes some great poly blend chinos and other similar companies have moved to poly blending thread for all their stitching for precisely that reason.

I know we've had this convo here before and I certainly understand that some people simply don't like poly blends. I just want to make sure it's noted that a poly blend isn't necessarily/automatically inferior

No full garment photos of this one yet. I would say the photo on the site is pretty accurate. The base is a darker red and then it has small, brighter red highlights.
