Huh, it just looks overly busy to me (not the sample swatch itself so much, but small tartan patterns like that in general).

Yea... G has an unfortunate habit of not fully proofreading the descriptions. Fairly commonly, you'll see mistakes like that. I mean, the middle and end paragraphs tend to be copy-pastes for things in the same category and I don't blame them for missing things. It's only unfortunate when they miss errors with specific details - weight, patch style, stitching color, etc.

Blah. At least it's just something that happens instead of having a defect or something. Thanks.

D'oh!!! Olive green chinos failed inspection. Was really really looking forward to those. Oh well, gotta hand it to G for the sweeteners to help make it right. Although there's not much in the stock store in my larger size.

The e-mail just said that there was "a problem" and they're unable to send it.

It's all right. I know this happens. It's better than being shipped a defective item that I'd have to return. No hard feelings for sure. Hopefully this piece will come around again soon.

Same happened to me (but with a workshirt), and I got another email later saying they'd just run out of fabric.

Agreed, the offer of extra sugar is nice, but the stock store is a little light at the moment, at least in my size.

My Cone 101 workshirt also didn't pass QC. No big deal though, just sit and wait for something sweet to pop up. Good way to get some more expensive denim on the cheap.

@joshgustin I'd like to see some moleskin or flannel chinos.

Anyone have any experience/reviews of the japan union? Fabric tone looks nice, but is it versatile/ or hard to match

We've run a few moleskin chinos so far but I'll keep an eye out for more options. Have any interest in a cotton/wool blend chino?
