Gustin - Official Affiliate Thread - Page 84

Just made my first Gustin purchase with the red selvedge chambray. Excited to see how it turns out.

Sorry if this has been asked/answered before, but @joshgustin do you have any idea when a denim version of the trucker jacket may be coming out? Thanks.

Definitely coming this month, maybe even next week.

Nice, hope you'll consider a black heavyweight version at some point!

Awesome. Thanks for the quick response!

Quick question for you guys, is there any way to add a bit of stretch manually to a pair of gustins? I picked up a pair of 32 slim Okayamas and they are still a little tight in the thigh. I've worn them quite a bit, even overnight a couple times. Any tips would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Davem. I had a hard time getting my thirteeners to stretch so I end up wearing them wet until dry, they stretched out where needed

Good luck

I think I'm going to pull the trigger on those 16ers. I read earlier in the thread that the shirts had a problem with the crown button (I think). Has anyone received one of their shirts recently? Has the problem with been resolved? Thanks.

Thanks DuckOB. I think I'll give that a try. How long does it take for them to stretch out completely? Sorry I'm pretty new to this stuff.

Hey Dave. I am pretty new as well so I understand. When the jeans had dried mostly and were at a damp stage I wore them until dry. I basically cleaned the house and closet and they dried. From what've have read the thighs don't stretch as much as the waist so you may be challenged there and have to size up. Maybe someone else can chime in on their experience

I might as well ask this while I still have the option to edit my order size: Has anyone with more than one pair of Gustins noticed sizing differences between different varieties of denim? I ask because my only pair I have right now is the 9oz Super Lights from last summer, and I ordered those in 31 slim. They ended up having a bit of extra space in them (about 1 to 1.25 inches loose in the waist, and a bit of bagging above the knee), which is fine for them since it helps them breath and I only wear them in the summer, but I wanted a more fitted pair with the Black x Black pair I ordered, so I went down to 30 slim. My natural waist, though, is about 31.25 and I'm afraid that 30 slim may be too tight given the Gustin/real world measurements I've seen. Was my 9oz pair just so abnormally light that it ended up looser in several dimensions? I'm using that as a basis to drop down to 30 slim, so I'd like to make sure the Super Lights weren't just a fluke and it really is safe to size down.

To joshgustin

How you can explain that straight cut's backrise have these measurements:

W31/W32 - 14,2-14,6

W33 - 14

W34 - 13,7

bad production without specifications, bad quality control or something else?

Can anyone who owns the shirt comparing sizing to another brand? Like if you wear size X in J Crew and you wear size Y in Gustin.

I got my first gustin shirt this week and I would say its a full size smaller than typical/expected. I wear a L in j.crew regular and and have more room in that than with an xl gustin. If I order another gustin I'll probably try a xxl.

Here's how you see what fits you:

1- Measure a garment that fits you
2- compare to the measurements on the website
3- order the size that best matches.

Thanks for the shocking revelation. I was looking for a few real world impressions and comparisons beyond measurements
