@IIIrd Icon Yes, I like the cut of 3009 too. I'm not super crazy about trendy skinny tapered leg fit jeans. For me, when I wear a pair of jeans, I picture James Dean with Lee riders 101 if I'm not mistaken. That's how I try to look like with a hint of casual & modern vibe. lol

I have 2 pairs of Levi 501 denim jeans. I pair is an off the peg bog standard pair from the Levi Shop, made, god knows where. The other pair are USA made 501, fabric White Oak Cone Denim. Both pairs are fine and are 32"W X34"L. Let me tell you something which I am really quite pleased about

I think I bought my first pair of Levi 501 denim jeans when I was 15 years of age. I have only ever bought Levi 501 denim jeans, I am now 68 years of age and I still am able to wear the same size as the first pair I bought, which quietly pleases me.

I put this down to sensible eating and being coffee total, I am not sure what someone who does not drink alcohol or tea could be called? All I know is that I got sober 26 years ago. It was the single best decision I have ever made

Be more specific. You're talking about upgrading from $50 jeans to $250-300 jeans. I have no experience with Samurai but there are many raw denim choices available at slightly cheaper price points. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk

I have no knowledge about raw denim. I'm mainly looking for a solid pair of denim where i can have fun wearing it and seeing the fades appearing not too slow if possible haha

you should do some research on raw denim first. from a financial standpoint, it makes no sense to jump into raw denim if you don't know what you want. Were you looking for unsanforized (shrink to fit)? Sanforized? Lightweight denim? Heavyweight? Japanese denim? Italian? Cone Mills?

with that said, for starter denim I would say to check out Naked & Famous. They offer a gazillion options for customers, that is, many different fits and fabrics from Japan. Plus, their prices are affordable and can always be had on discount if you know where to look. Some people hate their jeans because they can be gimmicky but I think if you look past the gimmicky stuff you'll see that they have good variety and are of decent quality. I think N&F would be a good starting point and from there you can decide if you want to go more expensive. Plus, it'll help you to dial in your fit. there's nothing worse than spending a crap load of money on raw denim and then they don't fit or you find something you dislike about them.

My first pair of denim was Naked and Famous. The skinny guy is a good fit if you're looking for a typical slim/skinny fit pair of jeans. I had mine in broken twill and started seeing good fades after about 3 months of daily wearing. I wore them for 15 months straight before I blew them out beyond repair. Excellent prices for good quality denim is another selling point of theirs. I'm soaking with a pair of their new 12oz deep indigo stretch denim right now actually, picked it up over the weekend in Chicago
