Boyfriend has kindly agreed to pay for pair no.10, so I'm debating whether or not to choose a 12th pair, or hold my collection at 11, with a denim ban until a couple of pairs have worn out, or I fall in love with another pair..

I need to buy more things for the fast approaching Autumn/Winter season fast approaching, so I can't buy another custom pair ATM, and most off the peg jeans are too big for me, so I Might try a denim ban....but no promises yet until boyfriend has paid for pair no.10, and I've surfed all of the best denim haunts!smile.gif

I just copped the N&F 32oz in sz 33 from a Canadian store. As such I am thinking about selling my unworn gustin hemps so I'm back down to 2 main pairs, but the hemp fabric is absolutely beautiful. Even before wear it's got some decent nep, a lot of hair, and even medium slub. Either way my denim cop freeze will commence after a mid weight jacket purchase, but my dilemma on the hemps is big since I want a 5x5 wardrobe.

Lucky you!

I wish they made 32oz jeans in my size!!!

Don't sell the hemps if you really love them....sooner or later something will wear out and you might not find something as nice as the hemps when you're looking for a new pair.

I understand your thinking - I'm pretty similar, but you can carry minimalism a bit fat sometimes!smile.gif

Congrats on your new N and Fs..smile.gif

What size waist do you have? They made them all of the way down to a 28 and they are unsanfordized, so they shrink up to 2 sizes in a nuclear hot soak. As for the hemps, it isn't so much that it is my favorite fabric ever, it is simply that I don't have any other pairs with a similar fabric. Tbh, I like the R400-H as well as the SC Okayama much better than the gustin hemp. I also think I would rather have that money for a pair of outliers as they will get more use anyways.

I wear waist size 23"!!!

Even some of those need tailoring!

The watch was an 18ct gold watch that was a bargain on eBay with a Chopard for GRAFF movement, but I'd rather have had another pair of good jeans than repair a watch I've only just bought - the gold crown fell off and needs replacing and because it's a valuable watch, they charge a crazy price:-(

So are you going to sell the hemps?
I definitely couldn't manage with 2 pairs of jeans!!!

Thats tiny! you must be a bean poll. I am personally a bit more comparable to a trunk at 5'5", 32" waist and a 40" chest.

as for the watch, she sounds like beaut. Sad you have to get repairs done, but it should be an amazing piece to have once its ready for wear again.

lastly the hemps. I have decided to sell them as I have my eye on the stevenson overall co. Engineer jacket (I would love the 201C, but I cant find it anywhere) and its a bit above what I had initial budgeted for. also, Idk how I am going to manage with two pairs of jean tbh. For years I have been a one jean kind of guy and now IDK just how good of fades I can get out of a rotation.

I am a beanpole - only 6 stone (84lb!)

Yes, the watch will be lovely, on a navy alligator strap!

Good luck selling the hemps..

I'm sure you'll manage to fade 2 pairs of jeans, unless you only wear them at weekends and don't wash them ever..

I wear jeans 7/7 and wash them so I rotate 3 or 4 pairs at a time.

Unfortunately I recently washed my 21oz Kurabo and they've shrunk so much I can hardly even get them on - the thigh measures 7.5"!

Normally I buy jeans with 8.75"!

They're so heavy I don't know if I can stretch them out and the hips are tiny, so I haven't decided yet what to do with them :-(

Boyfriend has finally coughed up cheque for my Cone black jeans!!!

This with my Japan Blue Selvedge Charcoal warp/black weft will satisfy me for a while - I'll try not to buy any more until a couple of old friends collapse or shrink too much, as I don't want to get any thinner!!haha

So total=11 pairs ATM.smile.gif

Wow - you love denim as much as I do!smile.gifsmile.gif

Which Onis are you going for?
Is it the natural indigo pair?

I'm wearing my PBJ purple face today

But my collection pales into insignificance compared to yours..

How is Edwin's quality?
They have a pair I like, only problem is I think they might have sold out of my size..

I'd love to see a pic of your entire denim collection together - do you have jackets as well?smile.gif

I'm thinking of buying a pair of Oni's Secret Denim 517 in olive color. I'm not sure if its the natural dye. I assume its not? This one http://blueingreensoho.com/site/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=shop.flypage&product_id=15197&category_id=&manufacturer_id=8&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=62

Lolz, it's not about the quantity but the quality of the denim that counts. When I first started collecting, I bought quite a few lower tier denim make like Naked and Famous, Gap, and such. Now, I've stepped up my game, Japanese denim makes only. But I do like Gustin's choices in different types of denim, some rare and some super rare. They are really affordable, too. The quality of their denim is really good for the price point.

I've only had one pair of Edwin and they are ok. They don't have as much details as my Gustins and no chain stitching on the hem on my 505SX. I don't think they dye is too great as I don't have much honeycomb showing.

I'm not a big fan of denim jackets. I prefer canvas jackets/chore coats. I have a few in my closet. My holy grail is S5000VX 25oz-15th but I don't feel like paying almost $400 for a pair...
