F&S, I must say, this and Nutcracker's Japanese thread, are my favourite in SF by far.  Keep up the good work!

bengal-stripe, it was lovely to see you last night and our chat was very interesting. A big thank you from Foster & Son.

meister, I spent some time showing the bag to people at the GQ event last night and my covetousness knows no bounds. It really is a splendid thing.

Ha, now you'll have to shield them from the SF Romeos. Dating a bespoke shoemaker must be to a SF member like an alcoholic dating a liquor store owner

Lol, brilliant! I'll make sure they're suitably warned.

labravajazz,

The best I can advise you is that I'm a 7.5E in the 337 last and a 7.5E in the Abingdon fits me very well indeed. So, I'd say same size as C&J 337.

Best,

WH Smith Shoemaker,

We were discussing this with bengal-stripe last week, WH Smith shoemaker has quite a ring to it. Perhaps one for British members to think about next time they need an A4 pad... More photos to follow.

joeninety,

What a very kind offer! We don't own the WH Smith name but would love to at least see the tree. Please come in and see us.
