What do we mean by ex-bespoke shoes? They are bespoke shoes made in the Foster & Son workshop at 83 Jermyn Street from bespoke hides to a customer’s exact specifications, hand-lasted and welted with hand stitched soles. In other words, bespoke shoes that have been made for a Foster & Son bespoke client.

We occasionally have clients who fail to collect their shoes or who need a re-make (where we re-make the shoes from scratch), which can happen for a number of reasons. Except in those cases where the design of the shoe is unique to the person who commissioned them, we then make these shoes available in our shop to other customers.

The photographs below show a pair of our ex-bespoke shoes. It is an elegant punch cap oxford with a beautiful bevelled waist. We believe that they would fit a UK 7.5E.

We will show you some more of our ex-bespoke stock soon.

Great shoes. I'm sure 6.5E (relative to EG sizing) shoes aren't made often but I will definitely keep an eye out for them. smile.gif

barky, we're putting together some side shots like this. They'll compare the 888, 337 and our new last. Hope to be able to post them later this afternoon for you to have a look. We are able to offer the fading on our existing (but rapidly diminishing) 888 stock at a cost of £175.

Thanks but unfortunately, there's only the suede Ashbourne available in 6E so I am out of luck.

Gents,

Apologies, the nearest size we have at the moment is a 5.5E

Our historic bespoke shoe collection Foster & Son/ Henry Maxwell

Button Boots

These boots date from the early part of the last century and were the inspiration for our Montrose Balmoral boot. The welt is stitched at 15 spi.

And our Montrose Balmoral boot, a little more conveniently designed.

DpprDr,

Spot on. I own a pair myself and they're lovely. I'm fortunate that I'm a good fit for the 337 and find these boots to be very versatile, much more so than you might think. We're considering offering these with our special fading which would make for an intriguing and elegant look.

Quantimil,

Good call. If I ever get married again I could imagine a number of ways in which they could work.
