We'd be very interested in your point of view, please feed back if you have the time.

Best,

I would prefer the more chiselled toe of the Chaves. The Fawley looks a bit blobby.  F&S, do you have a pic on how the fading on a new black shoe might look like?

barky,

We think the Fawley looks a little more chiselled irl. Will try to get a picture of a faded shoe posted today together with another picture of the Fawley toe.

Best,

Gentlemen,

The photograph below compares the toe shapes of the chiselled and rounded shoes on our new last (left and right) with the current shoe on the 337 last in the centre.

We would welcome any thoughts you might have.

Do you have some more views, like from the side, your chiselled toe seems very similar to the 337.

Hello.  Thanks for starting great thread.  I take your kind offer and would like to show my thoughts about the new last.

To my eyes, new last's toe has a substantial volume in thickness (I mean vertically) especially around the area circled in RED. and wrapping in with circular shape to the sole.

Looking at pictures of your archive and some other sources, I found many of your shoes' toes are more stream lined and subtle. (both for squared and round)

It is a different shoe and think it has its own beauty, but I prefer the toe volume to be smaller than current one.   I have not even handled your shoes in person so my experience and knowledge in general about shoes and about your brand is extremely limited, but shoes which caught my eyes from your collection have such kind of toe.

barky, do you think the Sandringham (the one in the middle) works better?

bamboo, many thanks for your extremely thoughtful reply. Do you believe that the Sandringham meets the brief better? Keep up the good work!
