I fit a C&J 337 in an E fitting well, albeit it is a touch too long and a touch too narrow, however, still quite comfortable.  

 

How would I go with an 88 last in an E fitting?

Typically between one half and one full size up. Perhaps others could chime in on this as well given that FredAstaire1899 has given some very specific information?

 

A best guess would be one half size up.
